@TheDustyhaines If you want actual quality films, I'd say the Chucky Series - while Part 2 and 3 are a little hokey, the first one is a fine little horror movie - and Bride and Seed of Chucky are quite hilarious.

The Leprechaun series is mostly a series of cheap, low-budget shits and giggles, but if you're into that, it's a lot of fun - mostly.

Actually, the original microwaves DID indeed still operate with the door open. After many idiots stuck their hand in to prove how tough they were, subsequently cooking themselves from the inside out, the safety feature was added BUT...yes, it was possible in the late 70's and early 80's to do just that.

@mrshanegt That is indeed the explanation in the second movie - that he hadn't drowned, but fled into the woods and was assumed dead. It's a bit of a shoddy retcon, to be sure, but it gave us the Jason we all know and love, so I let it slide.

It isn't until the 4th movie he is actually KILLED, only to be brought back in part 6.

the microwave oven doesnt even make any sense. microwave ovens are like tiny ovens so its basically him putting his head in a tiny oven with the door open. Which I guess would just be hot or maybe his hair would catch on fire. However if it was a microwave, like you said, it wouldn't even work with the door open! I think thats what they might have meant since the radioactive waves might cause some thing like that to happen but probably not.
