The Tri-Mode setting sounds more-or-less exactly like the chorus in the intro to Crowded House's "Don't Dream Its Over," which is why I bought it.

I have one of these, does the Small Clone pretty well, modern chorus sounds which are sometimes more useful in a mix than the vintage ones that sound so sweet alone. The Tri mode with max depth and min speed makes for a great 'hippie lead' univibe type sound, and the vibrato will make the heartiest sailor seasick in seconds.

I have a LiquaFlange module on the way, too, really great idea for recording. The footswitch is fine once you get used to it. Never pay more than 20 bucks for a module.

Depends on what chorus sound you like :) my Boss CE-2 is a modded Black Label Japanese version, but I wouldn't mind owning an Ibanez Bc9 :) the only Ibanez I own is a modded TS-9 with a JRC4558D chip, my personal choice

I tried out the Echo Park with intentions to buy but I was actually pretty disappointed. Check out the Marshall EH-1 Echohead for a great affordable delay. I think people buy Boss pedals when they don't really know what they are after. They are a good starting point and are extremely reliable, and at the end of the day you can get them modded. I've got a modded DS-1 with an awesome tweed like distortion.

it all depends, when it gets down to it. all the big hitters are equal. it comes down to taste. i love the echo park because it does exactly what i need. i could never get into the ds-1. but some people swear by them. i swear by my jacques bat fuzz the same way. never used the eh-1. but never had a reason to either. cause i was completely satisfied by me echo park.
