As I know that Ganesh is called Phra Pikanet in Thailand. it's really happy to see the religious harmony in Thailand. Thai people really respect buddha and Hindus gods like Ganesh and Brahma etc. Most importantly, They are happy, kind and tolerant to others. I think a good religion shouldn't teach people hate, intolerance and violence.

Ganesha is a universal Eastern Deity. He is revered in Hinduism,Thai and Tibetan Buddhism,and Jainism. Whether you call him Ganesha,Vinayaka,or Phra Pikanet he is a great being.

I am visiting Thailand this summer and can't wait to see this temple. It is so nice to see two world religions in peace.I am Buddhist and respect Hinduism so much.

Hinduism and Buddhsim in Thailand are very close and syncretic. Many Thais do not see Hinduism as seperate, hence the numerous Hindu shrines in the country. The king has officating Hindu priests including the Raj Guru. Very beautiful and grea to see this harmony between two religious traditions.
