I have a 42 jeep and a 44 kubelwagen and would have to say the jeep is slightly better off road but the Kubelwagen is better at everything else, nicer driving on the road, better mileage, faster, lighter, holds more stuff, And it's pretty good off road. Like this video shows you need some momentum to get past obstacles where the jeep can crawl past. Both are great!!

Kubel was good for climbing hills, and going through snow, and deserts. The Jeep had better traction.

@VALsacount2 Jeep was best on firm ground. Kubel has that self-locking diff, makes all the difference.

kubelwagen can never be compared to the jeep. i have had a jeep for some 25 years in my family and had a kubel for about 6. there both amazing fun vehicles but when it comes to off road capability. i've had my jeep in places only motorbikes can normally get to and the kubelwagen didn't make it out of the car park.. long live the jeep.
