Hi there, my world famous Latin High School Latin Teacher had a daughter with Down Syndrome and she taught us alot about acceptance. She was well spoken and I'm pretty sure she was smart enough to know what an abortion.
Parents faced with having a disabled child face much adversity. Some adversity is medical. But alot of it is man-made.

I feel for those who will never know the love of a child like Emily Rose due to their own selfish desires for a "perfect" child. Emily Rose is wonderful! I pray she will help to change the ignorant ways people with Down syndrome are viewed.
Emily is learning how to walk. She knows sign language. She is widening her vocabulary. Emily brings joy into the hearts of numerous people. Can you say that you bring joy into people's hearts? Emily has the capacity to love and to care. When Emily is 21, she will be a happier person than you. You are further away from life than Emily. Emily's parents know Christ, and they wil teach their beautiful daughter about Him. Emily is a beautiful human being and is loved by all who know her.

Obviously you have never worked with down syndrome people. Most of them live very normal lives. Maybe you have poor table manners but I'm sure that little Emily will do just fine.
