  • Did you ever finish this movie? I would love to watch it

  • @rashonda1 Yes it is finished - it is screening in LA in March. We hope it will be released else where soon!

  • Lost it all when I was 12 . Started in September and was gone completely by November . That was almost 33 years ago . I'll be 45 next month but no one would ever know I was that old .

Sometimes there is good in bad . Eyelashes and nose hair would be helpful though.

  • I am a male and I have AA Universalis. It started to fall out in 1981 when I was 11, by 13, all my hair was gone, head to toe, I was devastated. Middle school / High school was an extremely difficult time. I chose to wear a wig to blend in the crowd but looking back, it made me stand out even more. My peers were very abusive to me and it still affects me to this day, I am 41. I have learned a lot about people. Georgia. your strength and honesty, will help so many who are hurting and alone.

  • @sdeanmusic Thank you sooo much for sharing your story with me. I know how hard it can be. I hope that you do better with everything these days but know that you have so many of us out there who understand! Have you joined Alopecia World?

    Sending you a huge hug!

    G

    xx

  • @sdeanmusic I love this comment, it's really emotionally effecting. I dont have AA, but my school years were identical. I ended up dropping out at 15, a year before I was legally able to, because it was so bad, the school actually told me to, and gave me permission. It's odd. Because I came to terms with it at around 22, and have been shaving my head ever since. It's not difficult these days to fit in as a man like this. But, I can imagine how painful it would be, with no choice. All my love bud

  • Georgia you are awesome girl!! Keep it up!!!

  • I'm lydia, Im fifteen right now, and have had alopecia, for as long as i could remember, it kinda runs in my family out of 7 children 4 have it. My dad has, my grandma had, and so forth. Its so depressing to have it. I live i n hawaii, and i feel as though i m the only one with it. God. Its so hard. I hate going out, I hate to be walking down the street and someone yelling "CANCER" at me, there isnt much teasing about this at my school. But i know everyone asks my friends. huh. Am I alone.

  • @Aaadaaaliaaa omg me too! except im the only one in my family i feel like im the only one but today i swear to god i think i saw a women with the same thing and it almost brought a tear to my eye because i was so happy to atleast see that im not the only one. but at the same time why does it have to happen to us :'(

  • @Aaadaaaliaaa You are sooo not alone - we are all in this together - join the facebook page for the film there are so many of us there - feel free to reach out - you don't have to go through this by yourself!!!

  • @GeorgiaVC whats the facebook page name?

  • @Aaadaaaliaaa Baby Let Your Hair Hang Down on facebook :)

  • @Aaadaaaliaaa Go to facebook and look for cap kids there are tons of other teenagers out there just like you! we even have a camp every year where we get together!!!

  • My mother had alopecia for a while, its grown back now but she still worries, also, loved you as vanille :)

  • @connahharvey thanks so much!!!.

  • @GeorgiaVC You're welcome :) I reaaally hope that you're in final fantasy 13'2 it isnt 13 without vanille :P

  • This is great,my 12 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with Alopecia. Is there a was to buy a copy of this movie, if it's completed.

  • @FairyQueenTania Please give your daughter a hug from me. The film will be finished in a few months - find us on facebook for updates

  • This is great, my -

  • What is DNCP solution? is there a website? and what kind of UV treatment did you do?

  • @abrookel21 it is a solution that Dr Strick in Westwood uses - it is the most successful treatment thus far. The UV treatment is UVB - it has worked for me :)

  • I swear, you are one of the cutest people who ever lived. You were adorable as Vanille, and you are adorable now. I'm not trying to be a creeper or anything, I'm just saying. :-)

  • @Roseforever84 thanx so so much! so very sweet of you!!! xx

  • Baldness must be very distressing for a woman, I have baldness and I'm male, that's distressing enough. Yes there are ways to cover it up, but it does strange things to us like takes away self confidence and self esteem. It's distressing because most of us feel self conscious about things. It can be hard for us to take at times. I wish you well.

  • @jenwill11 Thanks so much :)

  • Georgia, You really are the most amazing girl I've ever seen. So yourself and very stunning, yes baldness can't bring your beauty level down by the slightest ;)

  • @dakduif Thank you so much - so sweet of you! Sending you huge smiles,

    xx

  • Never thought you had this, your always so cheerfull in other vids.

Dont ever give up, your really are beautiful! Cheers from Holland!

  • @Dan600F Thanks so much - that made me smile!!

  • @GeorgiaVC

    Your welcome :)

  • @CTrace I am happy to help in anyway that I can!! Most of my wigs I get from wilshirewigs and they are online too. You can get all different price ranges there - I find that the lace front wigs are the most believable though.

I also had a wig from Joseph PAris and they are really good and he is very helpful with alopecians.

You are so not giving up you just are doing what ever you need to do to feel good about yourself. I totally understand.

  • what did you do to get ur hair to come back?

  • @abrookel21 I actually used UV treatment and the DNCP solution - right now it is working well :)

  • @GeorgiaVC How does the UV treatment work? Is DNCP similar to DNCB? I used DNCB from Dr Strick and it grew back but then randomly fell out again (apparently it doesn't prevent it from falling out). Id love to know about the UV treatment. Also have you ever tried acupuncture?

  • @lbrown9595 I am sorry that was a typo it is DNCB :) yeah I had the same experience. UV isn't a proven treatment it is basically the same that they use for psoriasis... I did try acupuncture - one form of it - it honestly hurt too much!!

  • @GeorgiaVC Hey Georgia! Wonderful trailer! Can't wait to see it!! I am interested in the UV treatments. How does it work? Also is DNCP similar to DNCB? I tried DNCB from Dr Strick - it grew back but then fell out again randomly (apparently it doesn't prevent it from reoccuring). I would love to know more about UV!!

  • @GeorgiaVC Hi Georgia! Great video! How does the UV treatment work? Is DNCP the same as DNCB from Dr Strick? Do you go to tanning beds?

  • @GeorgiaVC

Hi Georgia! Great video! How does the UV treatment work? Is DNCP the same as DNCB from Dr Strick? Do you go to tanning beds?

  • wow ..im confused and i dont want to sound like a prick here but did you shave your head like this for the role and when you were at gamecon was that your real hair .. or did you wear a wig on all the interviews for final fantasy and this is what your hair really looks like

  • @babyoilnhand you're not being a prick at all, it is a fair question - I had already lost most of my hair but I shaved the rest off for the film. All the interviews you saw I was wearing a wig - but it is coming back now - yay!! :)

  • @GeorgiaVC good to know either way your beautiful and your voice drives me nutts ...in a good way

  • I had no idea who you are until I heard a beautiful voice in a game. Then I looked you up and found this. I think you are a very beautiful person and God bless you.

  • @dracionx Thanks so so much!

  • My daughter is 9 and is showing symptoms of alopecia, she may or may not have this for life. I am on the internet looking for inspirational young women to show her, you are one such woman. Thank you.

  • @MsLondonLinda My pleasure! I hope the video helps your daughter!!!

  • georgia is incredibly gorgeous and very brave for bringing attention to this condition. it is an enormous step to share something personal like a medical issue with others, and this speaks greatly to her courage. kind of makes me want to play final fantasy XIII, even though I stopped playing final fantasy games when I was 13, just because she's in it haha.

  • @blueshade26 Thank you so so much!!!xx

  • Georgia you are absolutely beautiful. taking off your hair was like taking off a mask. You were born beautiful and you never need to change it, such is the same of everyone with Alopecia. Beauty is loving and taking care of your body and having a good heart.

  • @HCviolence Thank you so so much! Sending you a big hug and thank you for making me smile!!

  • You are strong to go through and accept your baldness and inspired thousands of people.

  • @tanatjob thanks so much!!

  • i have alopeacia areata over 30 years, now i am 34...sometimes it´s hard, we all have up and downs. it´s important that the illnes don´t get your life..be part of your life..you make it right. all the best wishes from germany:-)

  • I'll try

  • Sorry I meant ,my entire life :)

  • Hello & cool to know you my entire life I never heard of this but now I see your video

I was wondering if my mom a something like that

  • @davonalite you should talk to her about it :)

  • Are you Georgia? :-]=

  • @davonalite sure am - hi!

  • I'm sorry, just reading through the other comments, I see that maybe it isn't such a temporary thing, I was trying to be supportive but came off a bit insensitive

  • @johntuohy no worries - sometimes it is hard to know what to say - we do appreciate the thought i promise!

  • I wish I had that much hair to shave off! Anybody I've known to suffer from this type of Alopecia seem to regrow their hair back fully over a variable duration of time. Sadly the same can't be said for those of us afflicted by the Male Pattern variety! But my heart bleeds for females that suffer hair loss, it is truly a shame to see the fairer of the sexes have to deal with it.

  • she does the voice of vanille!!!

  • It is Jose Gonzalez' Crosses - it is amazing hey!!

  • @GeorgiaVC It is Jose Gonzalez' Crosses - it is amazing hey!!

  • what song is this? <3

  • @smgr called crosses by jose gonzales! i was surprised to hear it, it's not very well known!

  • I will definitely get this when it's released. Being far from family, did it make things more difficult or was it easier?

  • i have the same thing need some help

  • @somforlife

have you contacted NAAF they are a big help!! it is going to be ok there is a lot of support out there. let me know if you need anything!!

  • @somforlife i have alopecia universalis since i was 8, now i'm 20, i can imagine what u're goin' throught, if would like to talk let me know..

the woman in the video is amazing, i think she is an inspiration for all women with alopecia!!

  • k rica!!! y k hermosa estas mami

  • With or without hair you are nice. Greets from Germany

  • With or without hair, she's a lovely, attractive woman.

  • @Zyn88 Thanks so very much!!

  • Thank you so much!!!

You put a smile in my day!

  • nice ypung girl, you looking very hot when you shaved rest of your hair off,and i like you body, you very beautiful, hugs and kisses:)

  • I really admire this. I was diagnosed with alopecia when I was in fourth grade. It was really bad for a while then it went into remission. It is starting to come back now just with a big spot on the back of my head. I cant talk to anybody about it or anything and I dont let people touch my hair cause when they see it they just make fun of me and spread rumours and sometimes people get really mean. I dont know what i would do if i lost my whole head of hair. Im glad that your doing this :)

  • Hi! I absolutely will! Have you joined Alopecia World?

  • Georgia, I know I've seen this before but you are just so amazing and inspiring to so many people...including me! I love you so so so much and know that this film is going to touch the hearts of many and will be a masterpiece no doubt. I love you so much and can't wait for our girl time!

    xoxoxoxox Alix

  • You're smart to use clippers. I went old school and bicced down what was left when the alopecia got to that point. Took foreeeeeeever. And surprisingly hard to shave your own head. Post a note when the movie is out!

  • my sister is 5. she has it.

  • Sending you a huge hug - sounds like you are wonderfully strong too!!! I can't wait to share it with you!!

  • had allopecia since i was 9 and realised that kids can be cruel. still cry at the memory of the whole park crowding around me pointing and shouting. im 16 now , i wear a wig and have a permanent phobia of people finding out. i wish i could just be myself without having to hide like a criminal from others. i put it now to evolution, to feel better, like apes lost hair and evolved into humans, and we're the next step and those apes will never understand cuz they're just too ignorant. don't give up

  • you poor thing it is terrible you go through this fear - i hope this film helps you be ok with who you are hair or no hair - you sound beautiful!!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

  • i have it too. i experence the same thing as you. im 14 and i still havent gained eneough courage to confess to my freinds that i have a wig

  • can i have your facebook, myspace or e- mail. there arent alot of ppl with alopecia around my area and i want to meet ppl with alopecia like me :)

  • i have alopecia as well. can't wait for this to come out :)

  • This makes me cry cause I am going through this too...you are amazing and gorgeous. I can't wait to see this!!!!

  • Thank you! I look forward to sharing it with you!! Sending you a big hug for what you are going through!

  • i am thrilled about this film.

    the trailer alone was amazing.

  • Thanks so much - I can't wait till it is out there!!

  • wonderful!! can't wait to see the full film!!

  • i think baldness is cute. im a girl and my hair kind of.....gets annoying, sheds everywhere...i think i wouldnt mind trying baldness someday if my hair falls out. plus you can wear really cute headbands with a bald head.

  • It is all about how you wear it!!! :)

  • every..man..out..thier..would..want..to..beat..that...trust..me!!!hair-no..hair!!ur..just..to..cute.(alopecia-2years)

  • thank you so much for your kind kind words -I now look at this as the best thing that has ever happened to me - for the insight into the true meaning of life - ehat a gift!!!

    Bless you!!!

  • I had the cream, needles even a bloody drip! A bag of cortisone with a pump behind it. My head looked like ET's for a while. Although all these treatments are bullshit. I pleaded with my Dermo to give me DCP. It's an irritant to give an allergic reaction to your skin and does the opposite to cortisone. Some how, it's slowly working. I don't know how but wish me luck. I wish this little video would air on tv for a good 5 months .. awareness would be the best thing for us alopecians.

  • thanks so much for sharing!!! I use DCP - what a trial it is!

I hope to get the full length film out there soon!!!

Huge smiles and all the best with your journey!!!

  • No need for you to be disheartened. You are very pretty with and without hair.

  • so sweet!

  • i know how it feels i had it at age 16 but alopecia arethea and its hard being a young girl and all girls love there hair day after day i cry cuz another spot is formed i use to have the most butifulest hair its sad so i feel were u are coming from....i have the ejections and to me it dont help

  • Sure they can. I'm a male and i have alopecia

  • can males experience alopecia?

  • Omg.. that was so sad it actually made me cry :(

I would HATE to ever lose my hair but I know that i could always wear a wig, and it's only hair after all, but it can have a huge impact on your life if you start loosing it especially for women.

But you're so brave and optimistic and good looking even without hair, you're beautiful and don't let anyone tell you otherwise (: x

  • Thank you so so much - that is very sweet of you!!!

It has been an amazing journey.

    Huge smiles,

    G

  • I have spent all afternoon looking for a video to explain this to my best friend, a man I love. I found a lot of good videos with good information, but when I found yours - short yet full of everything I wanted to say - and just a bit of humor. It was perfect. Thank you so much.

  • I am so so glad!!! I can't wait for you to share the whole film with you in time!!

    Huge huge smiles,

    G

    xx

  • Just going to let you know from personal experience that when people say stuff like oh it must be handy it makes some people angry (like me) because it just shows how much you don't understand what we are going through.

  • thanks for your comment - but I do understand; I deal with it everyday. And amongst the many hardships of having no hair I choose to focus the things that make it ok.

But I understand that some people choose not to see them and that is ok too - I am sorry it offended you I guess I am just a hair half full alopecian :) All the best!

  • very true it is very handy!!!

    Smiles

    G

    xx

  • Wow! This looks like a wonderful project - can't wait to see it. Here's to all the beautiful bald women out there! Mary
