@Kingantichrist - Saw him with CHARICE PEMPENGCO. They're both very good technically, but I miss the grave loneliness in their interpretation that Adagio is all about (at least for me).
@Kingantichrist : Nothing against Christian Imparato, but his voice is yet undeveloped. Throughout his performance it cracks and he slides into notes that Lara takes on without searching fo the right pitch. This, the Lara Fabian version, is top of the chart - period. (IMHO)
@allomango she's a very good singer, but somebody in the Philippines is comparable name CHARICE. She was in Italy singing with Christian Amparato. Please check it out. Nobody is better than the other for they have their own style of singing. But both of them are conspicuously amazing singers in their side of the world.

......Lara Fabian ha conferito a questa celeberrima composizione classica o neo-classica (si dice che potrebbe essere interamente di Remo Giazotto) bellissime parole (si, le parole sono sue!)e ha realizzato una canzone stupenda che canta divinamente. Grazie LARA!
Lara è figlia di un Belga e di una siciliana. Ha vissuto fino a 5 anni a Catania, poi tra il Belgio e il Canada ma è spesso in giro per lavoro.

L'Adagio in sol minore, noto come Adagio di Albinoni, è una celeberrima composizione musicale. Remo Giazotto, compositore del primo 900 morto nel 1998, raccontò di aver raccolto frammenti di spartiti di Albinoni (un musicista vissuto a cavallo tra il 600 e il 700 divenuto famoso soprattutto per questo "adagio") ritrovati presso la biblioteca di Dresda distrutta dai bombardamenti. Raccordando tali frammenti riportò alla luce questo splendido pezzo.....

...Dimenticavo: Remo Giazotto raccolse i frammenti dell'Adagio di Albinoni nel 1945 e pubblicò la composizione solo nel 1958!

Questo brano è davvero suggestivo. Richiede una notevole estensione vocale, ma ben modulata . Pochi lo sanno interpretare bene, i più finiscono per urlarlo. Lara Fabian è una delle poche a convincermi .

I just discovered the amazing Lara Fabian and am jealous of those that have enjoyed her talent for years. If it wasn't for my favorite young singer, Charice, performing Adagio on the Italian show "Io Canto" as their international guest, I would still not had this pleasure.
Lara is stupenda, fantastico!
