That's who he wanted to go with, in the video where it shows Edge talking to HHH at 1:16 Trips was making a "deal" with Edge. I think you know what HHH wanted for a title shot, So at 1:35 where Randy comes running down to the ring, he was throwing evolution out of there. Randy has a match with HHH and get's screwed by evolution. But in the end he ends up with HHH. Hence the at the end where Randy is on the mat, Edge is crying and HHH is smiling.
