@Phriendship Hi - for compressing outdoor footage with a lot of greenery, I found the x264Encoder from MyCometG3 worked better than the basic h264 one from Apple. Copy it to your main HD/Library/QuickTime folder. In FCE, use Export Using Quicktime Conversion & choose x264 Compression Type. In Options, leave the defaults as is except for Tagging, where you change "no nclc atom" to "HD 6-1-1…" and uncheck Add Gamma. Use 1280x720 & Deinterlace in Size Settings. OK? - cheers
@scottsdunlop Thanks, Scott. I got lucky with the church bells at the end, and the touch of muted thunder during one of the windy bits. I think the bird at the start is a blue jay, and Toronto residents will recognize the faint sound of a streetcar turning at one point. I think this tune would be great as part of a movie soundtrack - but somebody else will have to make the movie! -cheers
What are you FCE4 video setting for import and export? I have the same software and camera :)
