I thought it was a hint as well, but it turns out it was just a translation mistake. There is a real hint, though: In the first chapter of the game, right before the pact cutscene with Shiki, you can see Joshua in the crowd.

How so? I kept getting pwned on the last day too, but I figured out what I was doing wrong. If you're talking about the boss dragon then (DON'T GET IN THE MIDDLE) stay at the bottom and only hit one head, and make sure when you free your friends you check to see if they want to pass you the green puck in their bubble.

Or am I totally wrong and you're talking about the bonus quests after you beat the game?
