Earth as we all know is the most solid element. It also has its harder form, metal. It can be used in many ways. Fire is the most intense and destructive element. Like the series emphasized in a few of its episodes water is the element of life and fire is the opposite, being the element of death. Fire als has its other form lightning. You could argue, since the earth has a molten core, that it takes the other three elements to suppress it.

which element is more powerful can always be argued because they all have different strengths. Air is almost everywhere and no other element can travel as fast or be used at a moments notice. Water is also very common but people live on land and if you are land locked then there wont be much of it. Also water can have almost the strength of earth, but in a flowing state.

M. Night Shamalan did a terrible job making The Last Airbender movie. He completley ruined the series and did a terrible job picking the cast for the movie. Avatar: The Last Airbender is based on Chinese culture and martial arts. M. Night Shamalan picked Indian actors for the Fire Navy and Katara and Sokka are supposed to be tan instead of white. Plus you can't even see Prince Zuko's scar because it's to light. Don't waste your money and don't see this movie!!!!

Avatar: The Legend of Korra will be released in late 2010 or early 2011. It's about a girl named Korra from the Southern Water Tribe who is also the avatar which means that Aang is dead. She mastered water, earth and fire but not air which she learns from Aang and Katara's son, Tenzin. It takes place 70 years after Avatar: The Last Airbender and it also takes place in a Republic City in which people from all four nations live. There is an anti-bender movement which Korra must fix.
