Hip movement is important but men and women move their hips differently and as a Latino that dances i would not recomend that the guys move like this lol so new dancers beware DO NOT MOVE LIKE THIS GUY!
Depending on the country you're from, the basic step is different... that's a Puerto Rican Basic step (on 1)... also called by some a Mambo step... The Colombian basic is different. Their psoture may not be perfect but the foot work is.

Nobody want´s to dance by numbers, but is the best way to be educate in dance, you will learn fast and precise. the natural body movement is in your soul. So first you learn by number and than you will put the flavor...I am not hispanic . I am BRASILIAN and this video is a great start for nondancers. would you like to dance with me??
all that 123,567 does not work when u r in a latino club. Latinos feel the music and dance..they dont count numbers. By experience..I went to a latino party...my feet were all over...very wrong dancing!

Hey Latina305mami, I am a latino and there is nothing wrong with this video. I dance salsa and I am a musician also. Do you remember what the Orquesta De La Luz accomplished in the 90's. They were a none spanish speaking Japanese band that played salsa a lot better that many other latin bands. This video is a good one. Depending on the country you're from, the basic step is different... that's a Puerto Rican Basic step (on 1)... also called by some a Mambo step... The Colombian basic is different. Their psoture may not be perfect but the foot work is.

Nobody want´s to dance by numbers, but is the best way to be educate in dance, you will learn fast and precise. the natural body movement is in your soul. So first you learn by number and than you will put the flavor...I am not hispanic . I am BRASILIAN and this video is a great start for nondancers. would you like to dance with me??

all that 123,567 does not work when u r in a latino club. Latinos feel the music and dance..they dont count numbers. By experience..I went to a latino party...my feet were all over...very wrong dancing!

Hey Latina305mami, I am a latino and there is nothing wrong with this video. I dance salsa and I am a musician also. Do you remember what the Orquesta De La Luz accomplished in the 90's. They were a none spanish speaking Japanese band that played salsa a lot better that many other latin bands. This video is a good one. I hate how in Youtube so many people feel that they are entitled to post extremely negative comments.
