Family groups and schools are put at the beginning of the parade, and some of the more adult-oriented stuff is at the back, and the parade often runs 3-4 hours. Mammy, this parade is *much* tamer than Mardi Gras, and those are public parades. If you saw the gay pride parade from start to finish, you would see that most it is quite tame indeed. And parents and children and schools march together in family-friendly contingents. There are all sorts of activities for kids, and both gay parents and straight parents bring their children. I've been going to the San Francisco parade most of my life, and I don't consider it inappropriate for kids at all.

There are always some people who will bring children to inappropriate events. I will not bring my daughter to the pride parade until I feel she is old enough to hold her own in an adult situation. Ck, I agree. And it's the same here at the SF parade. Family groups and schools are put at the beginning of the parade, and some of the more adult-oriented stuff is at the back, and the parade often runs 3-4 hours. Also, it's strange to me that the people who made this video somehow think that only gay people bring their children to the parade! There are many, many straight moms and dads who do, as well.

They have not called for the ban to end. And the decision was NOT political. It was based on protecting the blood supply. Statistics show homosexuals are carriers of many infectious diseases, like cockroaches and it is far too risky to accept blood from homosexuals. If it was safe they would take homosexuals blood, because they are constantly struggling to maintain an adequate supply of blood.

BTW, if homosexuality is harmless, then why are more homosexuals at risk of contracting AIDS and other sexually-transmitted diseases than heterosexuals? And I am shocked at parents that don't protect their children from displays such as these. This surely is an abuse of children. It shows no respect for the delicacy of their nature. Mammy, this parade is *much* tamer than Mardi Gras, and those are public parades. If you saw the gay pride parade from start to finish, you would see that most it is quite tame indeed. And parents and children and schools march together in family-friendly contingents. There are all sorts of activities for kids, and both gay parents and straight parents bring their children. I've been going to the San Francisco parade most of my life, and I don't consider it inappropriate for kids at all.

I believe that the Republicans will accept gay marriage before they push real corporate accountability and an economic system that is fair and equal under the law. That is a shame.

There weren't any naked people. People in bathing suits. What sexual positions? They were dancing and not dirty dancing. Yes the signs were crude but not "shockingly obscene." The most you could make an argument about was a woman allegedly flashing herself and that is hazy at best. And we did NOT see any children present when those things were occuring. Look at the video honestly instead of allowiing your bias against homosexuality to rule your mind.
