The ENTIRE "Diamond Days" album is their best. Christine Dente's lyrics are awesomely deep and intertwine elegantly with the instrumental transitions with precision throughout the whole compilation. This was produced by Charlie Peacock at a time when God was using him incredibly to breath new life into contemporary Christian music. We owe a lot today's Christian music's professionalism, variant genre styles and sound quality to what Charlie did during that time period in the early to late 90's.
Scott Dente's guitar solo, in the prelude to "The One I've Been Waiting For" (also on the Diamond Days album), is a great testiment to his professionalism and talented guitar playing. The slam transition from the solo immediately into to the song is creative genius.
I saw them in concert too way back in '92 or '93. They were great. A little roxette, a little christian, and just plain good! I miss christian music like this.
Saw OOTG at a concert in the Midwest in the mid-90's. Live, they were like a Christian indie band in the best traditions of what "indie" music has grown up to mean. Their recorded music tended to be a bit more heavily "produced" but even then, the mixes tended to be more creative than was typical.
