  • Best fire technique I've seen so far. Thanks for sharing this, looking forward to your next vid.

  • Another good lesson, thanks

  • Very good vid. I'm with ya on the fire prep.

  • That's the best way I have seen to make a fire. I couldn't imagine ever failing with that much prep. I guess that's the key, preparation. Great video.

  • @lazydogdied You hit the nail on the head.

  • i sometimes prep a fire for the morning but one time it got windy and blew my prep away so i dont do that anymore

  • @dexterlexter123 I try to keep my extra prep in a bag, or tied in a bundle and hung from my shelter pole.

  • Another great video!

  • Great video as always, Terry. You are an excellent teacher!! I wish that I lived out your way. God bless. John

  • great vid man keep up the good work

  • great vid as always, i'd still like to see your kit even tho it probably changes often as mine does

  • Nicely done. Always enjoyed your video's. They are clear and easy to follow.

  • Absolutely awesome technique. I'm gonna have to use that. Thanks for sharing.

  • What is the best way to differentiate between the one stick fire and the splitwood fire Terry? There have been times that in order to get 3x the prep, i will use multiple pieces but still call it a 1 stick fire????

  • @wgfarmer With a one stick all prep including tinder comes from on single piece of wood. Also a one stick is a drill. The splitwood fire is a technique. Hope that helps.

  • @iawoodsman Got it. I keep forgetting about the tinder coming from the one stick (shavings & scrapings), where we use other natural tinders for the splitwood fire. I am confused about the difference between a drill and a technique though??? Thanks for the great video!

  • @wgfarmer The splitwood fire has been taught to overcome wet conditions. The one stick is done for fun and to test your skills.

  • @iawoodsman That makes alot of sense and I understand now. Thanks for putting these great videos up and take care.
