At risk of showing my age, these commercials ls look to be about early to mid 60's, One complaning phone call to a local broadcaster would get this pulled in a heart beat. Plus the fact that this 'sexy toon' has a more than slight resemblance to Bettie Page and the 'nude' shadow and showing too much skin in the bath tub scenes. Tired businessmen would love it and their wives would likely smack them in the head for drooling over a cartoon!!
@heine71 I don't mean to sound rude, but color television didn't come along until the late 50's & early 60's. considering the 'racy' content of these commercials, it's unlikely they showed them, say in a movie theatre between films. Sorry, I'm just an old broad with a photographic memory. ;-)
1:10 is why I think is was banned. In all the other camay ads its only the men that get all hot and bothered! Check out the actress whose gawky at her!
i think it was the sign of the time women who were shapely like that were exploited and being animated gave off the wrong vibe by todays standard that cartoon would sell and be very tasteful remeber back then it looks like in the 50's you couldnt say pregnant on tv or in magazines
I think she looks more like natasha fatale
then again, I watch way too many cartoons

The guy doing the voice-over almost sounds like George Takei. I can picture him adding in an "OH, MY!!!!!!!" that wasn't in the script!

How is this supposed to be "banned"? It's just an old commercial that ran its course.

This looks more like a theatrical ad than a TV ad.. Did TV ads use title cards at the beginning like the one in this ad?

I agree with you, cannot understand why cute commercials like these were banned! They are so innocent! I wonder how many years ago they aired on TV.
