I just bought one a few days ago. It seems to work pretty well. Not only does it keeps pressure on the front brake, it also immobilizes that throttle. Sure it can be defeated by someone with skill and patience, but it definitely is a deterrent!
You would probably be better with a wheel lock or Kryptonite chain. The grip lock is a great idea but I guarantee you could get around it quicker by just removing the brake cable or removing the handle bar grip and switches. I would like to see them make this thing out of metal.
Yes - again, there are many ways a thief could easily steal a motorcycle; this product is only meant to help prevent casual theft by opportunists.
The brake lock also helps keep the bike more secure if it's windy or otherwise - it keeps the bike in place and prevents it from rolling and dropping, which happened to one of the webBikeWorld staff when the bike was parked during a windy rainstorm.
I'm not sure, but I think it fits just about every standard bike but perhaps cruisers with big thick hand grips >1" diameter might not work, but I'm not sure.
Yes, but as we said in the review, this is meant to help prevent casual theft or someone fooling around. Besides, not everyone carries a hacksaw in his back pocket!
I think a better tool is to lock or remove the gear shift and use a brake disc lock if you want to prevent a "ride away" theft without the use of a chain.
useless, when they steal bikes, they just haul it onto a truck and just burn, thats why i carry my glock with me wherever i go, if i see those fuckers try to steal mine, ima shoot them ghetto asses down, no mercy!

Or you could just cut the front brake cable down at the wheel and you could still roll it away.

As we mentioned in the review, this is not the ultimate security device, just something that might prevent a casual theft.
