  • Did not see what comes after 0:59 coming... Sent chills down my entire spine! Think even Chopin would like your changes... Wow... I'm breathless

  • Bravo. Davvero impresisonante. Però basta con queste tastiere, comprati un pianoforte!

  • Amico ti ci vuole un pianoforte

  • O_O O_o

  • GYABON!!! O.o that was epic

  • wow.... but imho its only a matter of time that the poor piano stand will crack..

  • Time to go practice.

  • Can anyone tell me a song that sounds similar to 1:00 - 1:10? Specifically 1:04 -1:10? Automatically fell in love with that beat

  • @CaptainGrand Chopin Op. 66

  • Si algún día te decides a hacer un cambio de manos..yo me ofrezco voluntaria :D!

  • this would be a bitch to transcribe

  • amazing man

  • He's smiling at 2:16 like "Yeah, I AM pretty awesome..."

  • Man...one year ago i saw this video and it was realy big for me.

Now, one year later i watched it again and i was like "oah...thats huge".

  • @kylelandry Can you answer one question I have about this piece? How should I go about learning it?. It's so difficult picking it up by ear and reading it seems to be above my level, but I remember reading somewhere you said before for us to challange ourselves with something we like and try and learn it. So what should I do? I would even pay for an online lesson depending on how much you want lol. Got a car payment, but I've no doubt it'd be worth it cause I would learn something new I bet.

  • @Thomas11611 By playing it veerryyy slowly one hand at a time, haha.

  • You really should transcribe this one! It's even better then the original!

    Really love your works!

It's a big motivation for me to play the piano when i'm watching and listen to your videos :)

  • No!!! I'm calling Jordan Rudess!!!!

  • You should write "Impromptue" with an -e T_T but it's not very important, because this was just the best interpretation I ever heard :D You are very talented!!

  • after hearing this Chopin would have changed his mind

  • O_O

  • I just love the variation between 0:59 and 1:04 btw

  • This was Chopin's first version of the Fantaisie Impromptu ;)

  • Chopin wouldn't do this better. You are one of the best pianists ever. I compare you with genius like Mozart and Bach.

  • 27 persons think they can do better?

  • @pittigepiet i imagine its the classical music purists that dislike this, also, critics dont have to dislike something because they know they can do better, film critics dont dislike qauntum of solace because they think they can make a better movie, they dislike it because its a shit film!

  • i don't know how to do anything.. i'm a perfect idiot.

  • MY GOD WHY ARE YOU SO CREATIVE AND BRILLIANT AT PIANO?!?! I hope that studying in college will get me this far. So badly I wish I could play like this and just read threw pieces of music like they're nothing so hard to read like you do.

  • What scary is he's playing this faster then the original piece. I wish I was this good at anything.

  • How long did it take to learn this piece? (without the variations) I'm currently still practicing it and my fingers always get tangled. ):

  • I`m sure Chopin is really proud now about this piece..!!

  • @kill2head65

Chopin said he hated this piece.

  • @elementc I know, and now he`s proud because of Kyle`s variations.. That`s it.

  • Jeez, i saw a Lola playing this,(she was good with her fingers) and i was wondering, has Kyle Landry played this song to..

    Impressive, how amazing you are

  • i like your verison better great job

  • The man already apologized. Get off his back. God, these people.

  • my fingers hurts just by looking @ you dude! how come ur so durable?

  • wow AWEMSOME technique. your hands barely move at all when you play

  • i really like this version! the original is too soft, so i think it's better played powerfully like you did

  • as if this wasnt hard enough already... he changed it and probably made it harder. TKL (typical kyle landry) lol

  • That is in fact an amazing piece of work there IMHO.

Congratulations for living out your passion.

I've been really enjoying your talent.

    Thanks for sharing.

    John

  • Louise;

I trust you were given enough of a break to listen to this piece.

I'll try not to harass you too much with my love of music.

My love for your piece you played at the talent show, has lead me to the vast array of classical music.

    For that, I Thank You. : )

    Take Care, 'cause I Care:

  • 26 people are jealous of your awesome piano skills. That is all.

  • can i just say, you are honestly the best pianist ive ever seen play, u play endless genres of songs all with excellent quality. i have been playing piano since i was 6 (19 now) and am amazed by all of your videos. im currently learning "those who fight" and also fantasie impromptu which i hope to have finished by this year. my goal is to be able to play at your standard and one day hopefully come close to the standard of a pianist you are!! your my inspiration, pure genious!

  • how could u screw the original version so badly?

  • Do you give concerts ?? In germany ??? I want to see you see so much live =)

  • i like how to smile as you play and smiled again as you finished the piece.

it adds more emotion and passion to your playing and i really love it!

  • 7/10

u did a few easy mistakes

  • @pekkauolevi I'd like to see you do better. Mr no videos.

  • @pekkauolevi stfu dickface

  • @pekkauolevi lmao, this guy!

  • Kolego, wyśmienicie! Masz do tego serce:-)

  • you took the risk to make variations on Chopin and you now what?! IT WAS AWESOME!!! I just love it it was just amazing!!! Congratulations!

  • Listening to your rendition of Chopin while drinking a glass of red wine makes me feel like some fancy European aristocrat. Thumbs up.

  • @Cosuin Noblesse Oblige.

  • @Cosuin You're getting a thumbs down simply for asking for a thumbs up. Dick.

  • @gayerest I wasn't asking for a thumbs up. If you take a look at the "Like" button, you'll notice that is also bears a "thumbs up" symbol. I was merely communicating the fact that I tremendously enjoyed the video. I appreciate your use of vulgar language in further demonstration of your meager intelligence, however. I'll give you a thumbs up for that.

  • @Cosuin Ah right, in that case I apologise.

  • @Cosuin and a thumbs up.

  • what the fuck! this was really amazing!

  • hoy many fingers do you have !!?

  • This video never gets old to me.

  • Bravo! You're an inspiration to any piano player no matter what level they're on. I think Chopin would be proud of this, especially with the variations!

  • You are such a fucking genius... I have a man crush on you

  • Wow... Every. Video. I. Watch.... JUST WOW! Made me cry a little at the end because im so amazed. I'm going to show my gran these, she loves classical :)

  • like a boss

  • Poor poor keyboard T.T You're too amazing for it XD

  • I learned how to play this song...I thought I was decently good...

Then I see Kyle and I'm like O.O MIND BLOWN!!!!!

  • WOW you are fantastic buddy, I just subbed :D

  • my eyes were like O_O for the entire thing

    OMFG

i can't even play past the 2nd measure, and you make variations like that...

    just unbelievble

  • People who say that they have hard time playing a real grand piano means they're not used in playing that kind of piano (your fingers will get used to it) and must have been playing an electric keyboard through out their life. Well for Kyle, he's simply GREAT.

  • very nice little improv at 1:10. Reminded me of evil clowns/circus acts. Do you find that playing on a computer chair makes life more difficult? lol

  • You are a badass!

The segment where you started swinging reminds me of how I try to practice speedy sections- long short then the same phrase short long

  • my God... How Many Piano Stands do you go through in a month?

  • @MrWimshurst 6,999,478.

  • Gorgeous!

  • hai talento

  • Are you human???? Oh my god you're a prodigy!!!!

  • my jaw just dropped lol

  • Chopin is back!

  • GOD MODE

  • I feel like you're really good at making simple music very complex. BUT, fantasie impromptu is extremely complex to begin with, so this just kinda fell down. :/

  • U deserve a concert grand not that electric piano :) although tht one seems to be working VERY well for you ;)

  • @edawg792 Totally not true. I have an electric piano and the keys are noticeably heavier than my acoustic piano. I find that playing fast is easier with heavier keys.

  • @edawg792 Oh, and fishing for thumbs up is just sad.

  • @gayerest Actually, I'm pretty happy.

  • Fantastic.

  • @edawg792 Promise you I can play it just as fast on a real piano :p

  • @edawg792 Nobody cares about thumbs up, you whore.

  • @JacobRudduck Hahahahahaha.

  • @kylelandry Well, it seems that I have been horribly misunderstood here. Firstly, I did not mean to insult anyone here, so my apologies to you Kyle. Secondly, this was the first and last time that I have asked for thumbs up. I just wanted to see if it would work for me like it does other people. Finally, I am not a whore, I am just another curious pianist. It seems that some of the hateful replies to my comment were just people trying to fit in and go along with the crowd.

    Anyway, my apologies.

  • @kylelandry Hey Kyle, to start, you're awesome man...I play the piano as well and I was wondering if you could help me out with something. I need to play an audition piece for a music college in a few weeks, and I was wondering if you could help me out with the fingerings to this piece for the right hand section at the very beginning? I would appreciate it if you could but if u can't youre still awesome

  • @edawg792 Crappy keyboards have no resistance, but good keyboards can be even more heavily weighted than real pianos.

  • @AustinRevoir That is often true actually

  • @edawg792 No thumbs up... I wonder why.

  • @edawg792 stfu, who would give you thumbs up for that disgusting comment

  • @natalicious787 Well I was wondering why you took it so personally and called my comment disgusting, but then I looked at your channel and saw that you were friends with Kyle. Like I said in my recent comment, I did not mean to offend anyone here, especially Kyle. I was just giving an idea. Anyways, I hope we are on better terms now. Sorry if I offended you.

  • @edawg792 I just like his stuff a lot.. whatever, its not like I'm the only one feeling this way. Your comment is not shown anymore since it got so many dislikes

  • @natalicious787 I know you are the not the only one lol, just that I'm sorry I offended you. Also, I think that most people started flaming me just because everybody else was doing it. You know what I mean? Anyways, I shouldn't have posted that comment in the first place.

  • @edawg792 Hey I think you have expired... Cos you're a sour "pianist"?

  • @arsenic222 Nice pun, but how was anything I said sour?

  • @edawg792 Because you were being a jealous prick. That's what made you "sour"

  • @808william808 I am not jealous, nor am I a prick. Stop overreacting and trying to insult me.

  • @arsenic222 I don't think he can even play lol

  • @edawg792 i agree he can play fast in an electric, try an Steinway & Sons Grand Piano and its hard lol! either way he is really good!!

  • @TrueShinobi17 A Steinway has nothing to do with it? it's not the MOST heavy weighted piano in the world... the keyboard is worth somewhere over 1k by YAMAHA...i'm pretty sure they know what they're doing about the resistance

  • @edawg792 Well if you want to give him a "real" piano, just do it and we'll see! ;)

  • @edawg792 ARE YOU STUPID??? He's playing a Yamaha P-155! They have just as much "resistance" as a real keyboard...ya twat

  • @edawg792 It's been one month. Thumbs are nowhere to be seen.

  • @edawg792 You're probably just jealous that you don't have awesome fast fingers. It's not the piano, it's the person, I'm sorry your fingers are feeble and weak. That sucks for you :P

  • @SislerPianoPlaya Ok really, that comment was a month ago. I already apologized, so you can stop insulting my fingers, which, I assure you, are not feeble and weak.

  • @edawg792 I think you have a 7 foot long rod stuck up your ass, but that doesn't make me right.

  • @XDXDXDXDXDXDXD That comment was two months ago. Why don't you try reading some more of my recent comments.

  • @edawg792 ...why would I try doing that?

  • @XDXDXDXDXDXDXD Because you would see that I already apologized for my comment, and think before you make weird insulting comments like the one you did before.

  • @edawg792 wtf? people are still giving you shit about that? lol geez let it go people

  • @yutyee3 I know right! Thanks for understanding.

  • @edawg792 LOL that comment will probably haunt you for as long as this video is up and alive.

  • @edawg792 i think the reason he can play it so fast is because he is an awesome pianist..

  • @edawg792 loser

  • @edawg792 Ya know, they came out with this brilliant new invention... It's called *gasp* WEIGHTED KEYS! And if you've ever played a P-155 you know that it has some really good weighted keys

  • @piano3479 Weighted keys actually only go to a certain extent. I own a P-155 and an upright grand, after you get used to the P-155 a real piano feels a lot heavier, but it's still manageable to play at least. In fact, it gives a quite smooth feel when you play on a real piano with p155-adapted fingers.

  • @edawg792 Besides it is an Stage Piano with the same resistence.

  • @edawg792 It's actually harder to play when the keys aren't weighted. Much more difficult to play with even dynamics and even counting.

  • @edawg792 LOL you're just stupid the new electric pianos have got resistance in the keys an example is the roland fp-7f or roland lx-10 :P

  • the real end is more beautiful, but well played :)

  • dude this sucked

  • You seem very satisfied there in the end!

  • i wan to hear it on a grand piano live!!!!

  • You get:

    Multi Kill

    Rampage

    Monster Kill

    Godlike

    Kyle.

  • Vous etes incroyable! Tres belle.

  • this is so brilliant I wanna press the Like button so many times but youtube did not let me

  • 18 people has been roundhouse kicked by chuck norris

  • only two words can describe this. "god like"

  • I was like "theres no way he could improve on chopin's masterpiece" and yet you've outdone yourself once again... Bravo Landry, Bravo! everything you touch turns to gold.

  • Comment removed

  • He is a great piano player but the way he plays chopin is really unaccurate! Chopin is almost a religion in itself, playing such variations this way is everything but respectful to one of the most impressive piano writers! Playing Chopin is an honnor, not a game!

  • @CharlesHenriEdouard Maybe you should check your spelling and grammar before you talk to someone about honor. Really. Playing variations is not always a game. It's also a way to show love. He made several variations on anime music which he clearly states in his videos THAT HE LOVES. So don't lecture 'till you know what you're talking about please.

  • Added to my favourites. That's just great!

  • Fantástico! <3

  • YOU ARE FANTASTIC! WHAT DO YOU DO TO BE SO? I WOULD LIKE TO PLAY AS YOU DO!

  • XD !!!! funny =DDD n___n

  • GOD DAMN...This guy IS ASKIN FOR ARTHRITIS.

  • genial!

  • Incredible!!!

  • You are a fantastic pianist with great creativity.

I suggest you try La Campanella by Liszt. I think it's intense technique and alternating melodies will give you a run for your money. :D

Also, I would love the transcription of these notes.

  • wow cool. i think you should try play circus galop :p
