I am a paramedic who is now an ER doctor and for those who really give a shit that you can't defib an asystole relax and look at the joke. The general public will be using AED where it will tell them if they can shock or not. Doesn't tell them the rhythm.

Actually, even though the ambulance crew may be Finnish and the setting is in Finland, the commercial itself isn't.

It's a Dutch commercial of an insurance company called Centraal Beheer Achmea, and the person on the bike that is hit says "Ouch, I think it is broken!" (referring to his leg). So I'm sorry to say that it is, in fact, Dutch. :)

Well actually to me it looked like a fine v-fib anyway. Unless there was artifact from the movement of the ambulance. But thats what it looked like to me. So shocking it really wouldnt be a problem.  And to tell you the truth i can say from experience, the differences of fine v-fib and Asystole can definately be noticed.

Actually shocking asystole, can you define asystole from fine v.f.?, if in doubt, shock, what is the worst thing that could happen?, patient dies??

It has actually been found that defibrillating asystole worsens patient oucome (from gloomy to worse!) as the heart can recover with the right Meds and Tx. Harder after sending a couple of hundred Joules through it. Patient already "dead" in asys OR VF. We want best chance of getting them ALIVE. Defibbing asyst = BAD!
