  • You own Fairlight AND an OSCar. You are a very lucky person...

  • this is "the best of both worlds" kind of synth - digital oscillators, nice wicked filter and overdriving mixer! it's unbelievable that has these digital textures and fatness too!

    nice! thanks for the uploading

  • Am I seeing a fairlight CMI on the background?

  • I had a Syrinx, MiniMoog E, Odyssey MK I, Pro One, MS-20, SH-5 and sell them all, keep only the OSCar. Why? The OSCar beats them all, believe it or not, this thing is a beast, maybe only beaten by the Steiner Parker Synthacon.

  • @MrAnalogica Ah those synths you listed all have their strengths. Syrinx? Wow that is rare. Most organic vocal sounds due to the formant filter. I have an Oscar but it broke. The battery leak is a notorious issue.

  • It's Oscillators are actually completely digital! I thought they were DCO based aswell, but if that was true, how could they achieve Additive Waveforms? DCO's are just Analog Oscillators that refresh their tuning at a high frequency....

  • @TheSYNTHOID

After 4'2" I create my onw additive wave forme (with add and remove harmonics directly on keyboard).

  • @jbfairlight Yeah, this is why it could never be DCO based. I've been meaning to ask you something... what is your dream Synthesizer? Seeing as you've got an OSCar, ELKA Synthex, and an RSF Kobol (!!!!!) there must not be much left for you in terms of the "exotic synthesizer".

  • The fattest Digital Synthesizer ever produced!!!

  • @TheSYNTHOID

...too bad it's analog, instead (DCO)...

  • @johnrozzo

    Pure digital !
