Independent-thinking young Jo is going to be beaten down into her correctly submissive role so she'll be ripe for marriage and bearing male heirs to a pedophile teacher.:P
@Tsubahi she was originally going to stay independent (like the author) but so many fans shipped her with laurie, and the author thought it was cause they wanted her to get married, soo :(
i wouldve liked to see her marry laurie, but the author thought marriage equaled submission
Wow really thats the first thing I noticed and remember from the book! I imagined Jo with chestnut brown hair and braids but she actually looks more femenine than Meg which is the opposite of what I imagined!
isnt amy supposed to be blonde not jo???

"By the way Jo, has anybody ever told you that you have very long and beautiful hair?" - The way he said that made me crack up. xD

Thanks for uploading this! I loved Susan Sarandon's sensitive, excellent portrayal of Marmee in the 1994 production.

@Tsubahi Well it is the 1800's that was common back then. But It was even worse in the middle ages.
