Trinidad is one of my fav. boxers of all time.. but I have to say he lost this fight. DLH put on a absolute clinic, there should have been a rematch. But really even though I thought DLH won, he can really only blame himself for taking off the last few rounds and the championship rounds, he had the fight in the bag all he had to do is finish strong. But even after taking off the last few round I felt he won the fight fairly easily. Not the way I thought the GB would have lost his first fight.

But you can't say anything about america being owened by someone else when America owns puerto rico. and back on this video the judging for this fight sucked too bad it ruined dela hoya's legacy. All he was doing was showing that he was faster, more agile, had more stamina, all around skilled at least 5X better than trinidad. He landed 100 more punches and had a better percentage that was sad.
Oscar won this hands down. These type of decisions is why I hardly watch boxing anymore, it has been corrupted by BS judges. I have seen too many boxers lose when they should have clearly won.

@chalinovilla Yup, the key difference thought is found in that Cotto is a road runner + a grenade (punch) launcher (both)... Trinidad at the end of the 12 rounds has no messed up face, while Margarito, in the other hand, had a destroyed Margarito's face (not to mention his eye). I never been a DeLa Hoya fan but i had him winning 10-2 tito.. Delahoya showed he lacked heart and Trinidad showed he lacked skill, both paid the price in their careers. I thought Oscar won and was shocked when Trinidad won the fight. I'm Puerto Rican but when it comes to Boxing one has to give an honest answer. I thought Oscar out boxed Felix but the fight was a disappointment. Trinidad vs Vargas was much more entertaining. Dream fight, Trinidad vs Margarito, same height, reach, the whole fight in a phone booth for those who still remember phone booths.

But you can't say anything about america being owened by someone else when America owns puerto rico. and back on this video the judging for this fight sucked too bad it ruined dela hoya's legacy. All he was doing was showing that he was faster, more agile, had more stamina, all around skilled at least 5X better than trinidad. Trinidad at the end of the 12 rounds has no messed up face, while Margarito, in the other hand, had a destroyed Margarito's face (not to mention his eye). ever wonder why no "rematch"? because trinidad was protected by his management and dlh beat him soundly and probably could have stopped tt if he had pressed more in the middle rounds. either way, this was one of the worst big fight decisions ever.actually, this fight marked the beginning of the belts loosing total control of the money in boxing.

I never been a DeLa Hoya fan but i had him winning 10-2 tito.. He clearly out boxed Tito, I think Tito was to caught up with the circus and landing his left hook... but that doesnt detract from the fact tito is a Hall of Famer for sure who faced everyone as DeLa Hoya... the both made boxing in the 90's- 2000 fantastic

Delahoya showed he lacked heart and Trinidad showed he lacked skill, both paid the price in their careers. I thought Oscar won and was shocked when Trinidad won the fight. I'm Puerto Rican but when it comes to Boxing one has to give an honest answer. I thought Oscar out boxed Felix but the fight was a disappointment. Trinidad vs Vargas was much more entertaining. Dream fight, Trinidad vs Margarito, same height, reach, the whole fight in a phone booth for those who still remember phone booths.
