If I buy a Murano it needs to be black only color Murano's look good in and it needs to have the accessories and blacked out paint of the GTC but my only gripe about it is the CVT I was wondering could it be possible to do a 5 or 6 speed Nissan Maxima manual transmission swap for a Murano its basically the same engine but the Murano is bigger LOL.

No fucking price. It is not that fast compared to an SRT8 jeep or SS Trailblazer. An S2000 handles well, thats about it. It is a dog in a straight line. Not to mention a new one is like 34k.

wow, she shot her self in the foot when she said no other suv comes close besides the bmw. first off bmw X5 4.8is is old, slow and doesn't handle like a sports car. jeep grand cherokee srt-8 has ferrari performance with very good handling, as reported by many road test editors, and its also fairly affordable. then we have the more expensive ML63 amg and the cayenne turbo, which are great on the road and on the racetrack.

I recently rented a Murano for a trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco. The middle read seat is horrible! The seat belt was oddly placed and cuts into your chin or neck (depending on height). Then belt tensioner would not realease and we had to unbuckle the belt and rebuckle to get some slack. Also, there is absolutely no back cushion support because of the arm rest cupholder. It was ridiculous how uncomfortable

if im not mistaken that murano has a tuned 350z engine,based from me and my friends assessment when he took his porsche against my 350z although with some after market upgrades mostly stage 1 the 350 remained just behind the porsches rear boot,plus the murano is much lighter nad more aerodynamic...juts my two cents

The nissan murano has a cvt transmission as you all probably already know. How can the transmission hold up with the turbo? I've been looking for a supercharger...people have said that the cvt can't hold up with all that extra torque and hp. Any input guys?

The GTC has been torque limited so not to damage the transmission. So I would guess that the Murano's CVT might not be a good choice if you will be adding a supercharger.

Thanks for your input. Take a hard look at how she drives the S2000. Do your due diligence on the S2000. The performance only comes into play well over 5k RPMS and the car is nowhere near that. The engine should be SCREAMING. I am still not convinced that both vehicles are/were optimised to their full driving potential.

WRONG! You have a female driver. I want to know what her credentials and her racing background is. You put a seasoned driver or formula one driver into both cars and I guarantee that the time gap is going to be HUGE. You need to rev the life out of the S2000 to get it anywhere near performance, and judging by her 'walk in the park' she did not do justice nor with the GTC. I am not writing this to discredit the Murano but to vent that they should have taken the comparison with some seriousness.

Dude, the murano obviously will never perform as well as most sports cars, in this case de S2k. But that was not the intention anyway, the point was to show that it's possible to build an SUV that will perform quite reasonably and to levels close to, although not as good as, a sports car.
