Part 2. Einstein work concentrated on velocity, because he believed that the kinetic energy an object possesses while traveling at the speed of light is unimaginably huge, particularly in vacuum where friction is nil. He wanted to say that reaching the speed of light is unbelievable for solid objects unless they transform to their other form which is energy.
Part 1. If the point is to demonstrate the derivation of the equation, thats ok. However, you differentiated F=d/dt(MV) with respect to time! mathematically it works, but Einstein did it with respect to velocity, as he did not care about time since time was known for a light beam traveling in vacuum.
secondly, according to the equation energy and mass are different manifestations of the samething...and the equation actually means if you try to speed up any object towards the speed of light..a point of transition comes where the added energy doesnt increase the speed of the object but adds to its mass..making it heavier...that is why no physical object with a rest mass can trave at the speed of light..this is what the equation says..merely deriving the equation doesnt give the essence.
first of all..any event exists in space-time...thats why einstein said with repect to space and time...length and time vary not mass..length contracts and time dilates....objects move in the space time axis and as you approach the speed of light time slows down and length contracts in a moving frame..kindly look into this..
@apoorv9811 The dilation of time/length/mass is dependent upon the frame of reference of the observer.
Thus: a rocket passing you at near light speed will seem contracted in length to you (no difference to passengers on rocket who are in same frame of reference as rocket)
but if that rocket slows down to zero speed as it is passing you (rediculous I know but imagine) then it would appear to elongate as its speed relative to you decreased.
If we start with belief in Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created, we see that gravity (Latin: gravitas) might stand for God’s Real Attractive Vitality Incessantly Tugging All Space. When we look to Holy Mass we see the higher spiritual formula for new creation in Jesus. E= Emmanuel (God with us); M = Mass (the Matter required for the Real Presence to occur); C = the Speed of Light (the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life overshadows and acts to transubstantiate the matter (2x)
@46zieben This was derived by Einstein as well. With special relativity, he determined the equation for time dilation: t=t0/sqrt(1-v^2/c^2) the denominator is called gamma and is also part of length contraction. And finally mass changes with speed. These are all consquences of relativity.
I am interesed in what is E=mc2 but am still looking a many videos. If the mass increases, I guess weight of the object increases also. Wo if weight increases, does it imply there are more atoms, or did the lighter weight atoms change to heavier ones? , or do extra atoms develope out of nowhere to make more mass and weight?
I guess also that mass and energy can be transformed from one to another , and that mass is basically a storage capacity of energy. I need to know more, if anyone has ideas.
They say that things moving at different speeds have some kind of time shift/difference. What happens to the atoms structure, do they slow down or something, so they don't age as quickly?
My knowledge on the topic is really basic but here is what I know: Lets say you have an atom with 20 protons and 20 neutrons. The mass of individual neutrons and protons are known. When this atom goes through fission it turns into 2 atoms, one lets say with 14 proton and neutrons and other with 6 neutrons and protons. Now the total mass of the atoms in the end are less than the mass of the original atom, hence the energy binding the original atom had a mass and that energy is what is released.
Well thats kind of why this equation is important. In any system we look at we know that two things are constant, total energy and the total mass. The interesting thing is we usually think of these as separate things where as energy having mass changes that. Note that you're not destroying matter, but releasing the energy thats keeping the core of the atom together. If we can make fusion work it'll be incredible as there is unlimited resources to use.
energy and mass are the same thing moving energy makes mass, the more energy you have equalls more mass so if everything in the unverse stopped moving it would have no mass ie no energy !!
Part 3. any way thank you for the vid. Good luck

sir when the length incr. when an object moves at a high speed does the length is restored when the object comes to rest .
PLEASE DO REPLY.....
apoorv9811 1 year ago
@apoorv9811 i would say yes. Because the object is no longer travelling at speed, hence, the length can be restored to its original state

ya explain the why mass increase with speed thinghy.
ASSHOLELA 1 year ago
I dont see where you got the
m=mo/sqrt(1-v^2/c^2)
eq from. This couldnt have been known prior to Einstein.
Is this a derivation using the derivation as a method?

@travwg33 but you did not explain how this was derived for mass too.
yes it solves your equetion, but maybe, it was the other way around?
maybe einstine first came to e=mc^2, and only than (using that) came to this m/m0 equestion.

Some say matter cannot be created or destroyed. If it can turn to energy, I guess thats destroying matter, unless you consider energy as matter.

Ok, I get it now a bit better. Mass can store energy. maby mass is its own "field" of energy.
emo5derf 2 years ago
I'd also just like to point out at around 8:50 into the video you say "if the object was moving at c²/2:
c²/2 > c
It is impossible to move with velocity c²/2...
I think what you meant to say is if it were moving with velocity such that 2v²=c²
ie. around 2.12x10^8 ms^-1

also electrons moving around atoms relates to mass

secretgoblet 3 years ago
Really sorry, but I can't leave a comment like that alone, there are several errors in what you have said:
1. "moving energy makes mass", I thought you said they were the same thing?
2. If anything had no mass when it wasn't moving them "M-nought" in the equation on the video would be irrelevant, and it would travel at "c".
At speed (relatively) things gain ADDITIONAL mass.
It is better to think of mass and energy as being convertible rather than dependant.
