(just replace the DOT with . ) and theres alot of info i think the tooth paste fix is under #6 polishing the CD.

it specifies that u must use paste and also to rub from the inner to the outer of the disc like spokes on a wheel, don't rub it in circle or in werid patterns it can screw up the disc even more.

i found this out in chemistry class... The chemicals in the toothpaste sink into the scratches and then they become "invisible" to the reader so it is able to read. I dont understand what i just said but its true...

To the people that do this and then bitch because it was just a minor scratch your an idiot. You should never try any repairs on a disc thats only slightly scratched. Any polishing process is only going to add more hairline scratches. The point is to fill and buff down existing ones. Not make a disc look brand new... thats impossible. This method works if you use the right toothpaste... it wont be like new but good enough to get a copy of the disk. Brasso is actually a better choice for a buff.

Please guys do not try this. It will mess up the game and sometimes the console. Buy a disk repairer. They really work and they leave no bad after effects. I tried this with music and game cds and just messed them up.

All the IDIOTS hating used the WRONG TOOTHPASTE! You have to use regular old fashiod white toothpaste. Not the blue gel shit. Thanks dude, I was about to get them resurfaced, but I did this on 4(yes, FOUR) games. 3 X-BOX 360 games and San Andreas for PS2. All of them work great. San Andreas takes a lil time to load in some spots but it was really scratched deep so that's understandable. Anyway, IT WORKS!
