  • For Billowing Death you place the fat side of the flame template in base contact with the furnace

  • I am pretty sure you can't choose to attack beast masters when they are in the Hydra unit

  • In the small warhammer book it is written: "If the flee move would result in the fleeing unit ending up 'on top' or within 1" of another unit or impassable terrain, then it carries on fleeing straight forward until it past the obstruction (p. 25) moreover, if fleeing unit runs into enemy unit it takes an dangerous terrain test, so gian rats of Ren shouldn't be took off as a casulties but instead he should check if the dangerous terrain test inflict any casulties. Am i wrong?

  • I don't play Dark Elves, but I'm pretty sure you can't allocate wounds to the handlers of the Hydra; they all must be directed at the Hydra. I've played so many Dark Elf players, it's insane. Good army, had the most fun games against them.

  • @Darkrift101 Actually they need to allocate wounds to the beastsmasters so first the handlers then the hydra

    Why? You can't hit them with shooting and in c-c. if you attack Hydra you put wounds on Hydra. You can only kill Handlers if you can attack them and with their rules that is hard.

  • Also, you're using Billowing Death wrong. You do use the flame template, yes, but, strangely enough, you use the template backwards, to simulate the swinging censer. Also, it MUST remain in base contact with the furnace when used, AND in the arc of sight of it. You can even check in the army book to confirm.

  • I have a queation: At about 7:37, when renn is rollong the flee distance, shoulden't he use three D6s? He only rolled two. I thought skaven rolled three D6s for flee distance and for persue distance.

  • You roll 3D6 for units with a movement value of 7 or higher. Everything else in the game is 2D6. Skaven get a plus 1 to the fleeing distance rolled, so they can escape harm.

  • Ahh.. thank you for enlightening me! I allways understood it as 1 plus dice, for some reason. My rats allways ran off the table :( Now i have some hope! :D Thanks again mate :)

  • Page 43: A unit can only pursue once per combat phase.

    That unit of Dark Riders would not have caught that unit of Clan Rats

  • I love how you get rules wrong (and admit it!) in your Battle reps. Warhammer is very complicated and its comforting that other people get stuff wrong now and again. It also demonstrates how as long as the game is played in the right way the occasional missed rule doesnt matter!

  • no they counted the outnumber bonus:

    sean=8

    renn: 1 wound, 3 ranks, 1 flank charge, 1 banner, and 1 for out number makes 7...he looses by one

    BUT! the weapon team needed to make its own break test, using the parent units leadership. it is a separate unit in all gaming respects except they use the parent unit LD if they are within 3"...trust me, i know skaven ;)

    in fact he never should have charged with them unless they were the DOOM-FLAYER team imo.

  • @gstruction doesn't matter - they botched up multiple things along the way - they're probably just rolling dice for fun at this point. It looked like Shawn rolled to hit for both handlers when one was clearly dead. Also, I don't believe you get the +1 for a magical weapon w/ shield - have to look that one up though;

  • @mtbell68 - yes, they even looked it up, you do get the +1 in H2H with magic weapon +shield, or hand weapon + magic shield.

    i fight DE's alot and i dont think Renn even had an option to hit the handlers of the Hydra...BTP may be able to clear this up.

  • @gstuction All models in base contact with the hydra must swing at the hydra, so if he is bassed only with the handler yes
