  • Ooooooosh! That groove they've got going! It's smoking. Holy cripes! This is so good I keep playing it over and over.

  • bueno

  • 2 years ago i was hip to this, lovely summer, great records being rereleased. love Mulatu.

  • Im so glad that Nas and Damian Marley introduced me to this band!

  • Sounds like the love child of Fela Kuti and John Zorn.

  • I have heard this song 10 times in a row....it is really smooth...we feel like being in a beach, but surely not alone!!!

  • Very cool!

  • Like being in a Moroccan harem smoking a hookah thinking about aweird dream i had that night before....

  • We need more smoke in the room.

  • Seeing him play in london a couple of years ago was probably the greatest musical experience of my life.

    The whole album is perfection.

The recent collaboration with the Heliocentrics is pretty amazing as well.

  • anyone know if he plays in NYC this year? or if this guys even alive?

  • Hello there, I don't know if he is going to play in NYC, but I know that he lives in Addis ababa. Last year when I was in Ethiopia I have seen him, If you want to know about him I have a friend who is very close to him.

  • @tropicalpimp

yes he is alive but i think he in Addis ababa ethiopia about 4month ago hope this helps.

  • If my muscles were as flexible as this man his music,oh boy....

  • five out of five!

  • Great. Very special.

  • is he using a marimba or vibraphone?

also does anyone know what type?

  • yes

  • I guess it's a vibraphone. On the live videos, he is playing that instrument. Marimba is made of wood and cannot sound like this.

  • these are mos def some vibes. if he played it on marimba it would probably also sound dope

  • vibraphone, thats why it vibrates so much

  • yeaaasshhh

  • i NEED this on vinyl

  • oh man,i bet it sounds super grungy n crispy, and raspy on vinyl...which of course, would add to its depth. sick track.
