And numerous Cobra agents from season 1 weren't seen very much, if at all, in season 2. The Baroness wasn't seen very much in season 2, and there was one episode ("Sink the Montana") where Destro was the ONLY Cobra agent in the episode. Storm Shadow was seen in only two episodes, whilke Firefly was only seen in "Into Your Tent I Will Sliently Creep", an episode featuring many Cobra agents. And though never mentioned by name, Major Bludd made only one appearance in season two, in "Cobrathon".
Actually, one thing that made Arise, Serpentor, Arise!, along with some of the early episodic stories of season 2 feature Joes from both seasons, like Alpine, Mutt, Dusty, Recondo, Doc, Deep Six, and Torpedo. Even Quick Kick made a brief appearance. Ace, Bazooka, and numerous other season 1 Joes are prominently featured in episode 73, "Sink the Montana". But later in season 2, many of the older Joes were absent, such as Duke, Scarlett, and Wild Bill.
Did General Hawkr really think that Ripcord and Airtight were going to be able to kep the Crimson Twins out of Napoleons' tomb? Also, Dusty's final speaking lines of this series came in this video, and Recondo's come in the next video, as both have their final speaking lines in episode 67, "Arise, Serpentor, Arise!, Part 2". Hlowever, both Dusty and Recondo (along with Snake Eyes) appear in episode 86, "G.I. Joe and the Golden Flece", and both feature prominenty in G.I. Joe: The Movie.
Open comparisons between Zarana & Samantha Fox: Both have a pronounced English accent (a Cockney 1). Both are short on stature. Both are skilled in martial arts. Both made their "debut" in 86. Both like to show a lot of skin! Both use sexuality to get ahead. If only Zarana could sing!
"Looks like there's nothing for miles but miles and miles of nothing." Now why couldn't the Joe movie or most of the action movies made today drop in some dialogue like that? The movies are either so gritty serious or just plain stupid. Where's the clever throwaway one-lines to lighten the mood and make the characters seem more human and interesting? Idiots.
What I love about 80's cartoons and even some of the ones from the 90's like X-Men was that they were quite sophisticated and didn't treat kids like idiots. Treat kids with some respect and like mature individuals and that is what they will grow up to be.
Dusty was a "Desert Warfare/Survival Specialist" i think, and like all Joes, able to hit everything on the battlefield with his rifle except Cobra troops.
@bertmustin LOL I always think that because Zartan disguised himself as a similar-looking French official in Countdown for Zartan in the previous season.
I used to work with a man who was part of the Australian task force that took part in Desert Storm. He told me about interacting with the French task force, and said that he and his fellow Australian soldiers used to joke about making it rich selling French rifles-"Never used, only dropped once!"
Americans are pretty good about removing prejudices in their culture. Except it's still OK to make broad statements making fun of the French. Do you not see something similar between prejudice against the French and prejudice against blacks?
@whitedragonawa Look I hate those garlic munching NAZI collaborators as much as the next man, (who doesn't reek of garlic and pretentiousness) but, in all fairness, if it weren't for the French, America probably wouldn't have won the war of independence. Plus, they did give us the modern form of democracy. Plus, their porn ranks amongst the best in the world and you couldn't find a better Merlot to drink yourself to death with!
yes it is his remains were sent back by the british after , Louis-Philippe, King of the French was given permission. it was round 1840. bit of history for you.

What I saw was G.I. Joe = Yosemite Sam & Zarana = Bugs Bunny wearing a dress.

Just one thing. Montezuma was an Aztec, so he wouldn't be in the Yucatan. He would be buried in maybe Mexico City.

Another plot-hole, if they had taken Zarana with her or left some people, she would not have gotten the DNA, and then no Serpentor...

Leave it to the French to not respect American's who are only trying to protect them. Arrogant, stuck up, snoody, jerks.

Frankly, I'm more than a little disgusted by the massive heaps of asshatery between the two countires that have become the norm over the past decade.
