@zMirrororriMz It means it's a sniper, which normally wounds on a 4+, although the deathmarks can pick one unit to wound on 2+s. Every armies' sniper is listed as x strength

I agree, 40k is very much a visual game - the look of a miniatures battle is half the experience. People doing batreps with unfinished models/terrain might as well not even bother. They should spend that time creating something nicelooking instead, then after that they can start sharing. Otherwise we might as well all just play with rocks and cones for models.

Nice painted army. I agree that painting and terrain make all the difference. My friend plays Necrons and our last battle was 2000 points, which I think is big enough. You have a decent army without needing another 1000 points. more tactics and battle reports would be helpful. Cheers!

Create a Triarch Stalker or 2, their targeting relay rule is invaluable with with your huge amount of warriors, that and their weapon options add some nice hefty punch to your fire-power. They don't have models obviously, but they shouldn't be too hard to construct.

Also, a 3000 pointed game is fun, but it feels too much like apoc. The line between 1800 and 2500 just seems to flow a bit nicer. This is due to some of the rules from Blood Angels and Grey Knights that can upset the balance in the game. But a 3000 pts Necron list would be very gun to play.

i think you should do how to defeat necrons with different races/army lists and also how to defeat them with a not too specialized army list (so like when you might fight against necrons, but your not sure)

For 2k army add a Command or Annihilation Barge and some Crypteks, one with Solar Pulse.

You can easily get to 3k points from now on, just add Annihilation Barge or Triarch Stalker (they can be made from Command Barge and Ghostark).
