I think it's a very bad idea to record this commercial. You should've stopped the tape as soon as this was on then record again when it finishes. who else had that happen with the same advert?
@cameron20101000 guys you have to recoed the tape at different speeds at the same time that way when you find another show use SLP once you stop the tape then record it again over other stuff as EP. your VCR has to be dvd combos in order to work.
@AidanLunn true. but this was bought brand new as a VCR/DVD Combo. it remains the way it was released. PANASONIC also uses this type. Im only connected to HDMI if watching DVD.
@Ryuuji14 The manufacturer's brand on it doesn't necessarily mean that that company made it. HDMI on DVD will look rubbish - I'd get Blu-Ray if I were you.
I know it would have been bought brand new - I'm just saying that the video mechanism and circuits were likely to have been sat around in some ware-house somewhere, ready for the manufacturer to put into something and sell as demand for VHS machines dwindles.
@AidanLunn i already have one. i use BD-R and RW discs to use my bluray player. i know what you mean now you mean that they still have parts to make vcrs left.
i love vhs , i still watch a lot of movies in my vhs .
i'm a little retro , i prefer vhs to dvd or blu ray , i prefer vinyl to cd or mp3 , and prefer my sega saturn and psx to my ps3 and xbox ( the first xbox , the 360 is a complete failure )
@theNerdGamer88 Me too I agree I prefer my Dreamcast to PS2 or PSX (the first ones i dont have a PSOne). i also prefer my old 27" 1989 Sony Trinirton TV to my 23" Samsung Flat Screen LCD TV. but that tape im so glad its 2011, my mom would have been so mad if she recorded Days Of Our Lives when she got home from the store to get some dinner. So Funny! Especially on Casssette (i have a old stereo i use my games on since my mom broke the tape player on my boombox).
Maybe the tape had degraded in such a way that it became sticky thus it stuck to a mechanical part in the machine, thus getting wrapped around it as it spun and eventually jamming? (this would have also resulted in "tape salad")
Hahahaha! The VHS died when she took off her shirt. Moreover, the commercial is "vegetarianly" creepy .

Do not hesitate! Do it like me, hahaha (I am gonna show ya mah next videos about VHS science next time!) XD!

Looks like the VHS is vegetarian... or maybe vegan... or it just doesn't like Weight Watchers.

cameron20101000 7 months ago
@cameron20101000 VHS was ad enough with SP, LP had even worse picture quality. Why would anyone like VHS?
AidanLunn 6 months ago
@AidanLunn EP is the longest/slowest speed
LP is half longest/slowest speed
SP is the fastest speed
anyway how do i make a damaged video tape?
i like vhs.
cameron20101000 6 months ago
@cameron20101000 . . . I know what EP speed is. I've been repairing the things since I was just 3.
Simple, you scratch the tape with something or you get a machine with a buggered pinch roller!

@AidanLunn in order to make a damaged video tape

@AidanLunn its the new model with Built in DTV (Converter Box) Tuner. also reads and writes Divx DVDs.
Ryuuji14 6 months ago
@Ryuuji14 New as in they just have some video decks remaining and they're trying to sell them in as many ways they can?
In other words, while unused when you bought it, the video mechanism and software could have been more than 4, maybe 5 years old.
