"Syrtaki" is one of the best Swedish hits by Frida.

"Följ mej i natten nerför floden

Gör mej fri en liten stund

Där smaken av mandelblom och mylla

Kysser varm och söt min mun"...

Swedish is a lovely language. I just started to learn Swedish.

  • Hey Marielle, a little Frida goes a long way. I wonder what Frida song I'll do next?

  • Thanks jim for posting this song, I have never heard of it, she has such a beautiful, strong voice no matter what the song is, and your collection of pictures once again are perfect..well done..

  • Thanks for watching Christine. It's a greek folk song called "Siko Chorepse Syrtaki". She can sing anything, I even have a song where she sings opera style somewhere in my favorites.

Thanks Jim for the great start of the week!

  • yay it's Frida Jim! she sure deserves all the attention she gets. this happy song cheered me up - thank you for that :) very good work on the vid, some new pics to me. almost all from 75, right?

  • This is Frida time on APUSA*! I'm glad I could cheer you up Elin, I could tell you could use it! Almost all are from '75, I think it adds realism to the video. Thanks sweetheart.

  • Frida has been getting some much needed play lately Jim. I did a couple of them in the past week too. Very nice song and slids!

    -Dallas

  • In a world of great unfairness Dallas, that will not happen here on Aggy Productions. Frida deserves just as much attention as the others, and "WE" all do a great job of showcasing all of the group. That's the fair and right thing to do! Thanks Dallas.

  • Frida is the only singer i have bought albums in a foreign language of!!Thanks!!

  • Thanks Cazz. I don't have this album yet, but I can get it from the download site I use for 2.00 dollars. "Frida ensame" is a great album with many great songs.

  • Thanks you for this one:D Just love the pics and the song too. never heard this one before. I have to get the Frida Ensam album..

  • Hej Anita, long time no hear. I hope all is well with school and family? This is a Greek folk song called "Siko Chorepse Syrtaki". Thanks for watching.

  • Yes, all is well here, and I hope all is well with you too. Been working all summer, back at school again tomorrow.. we start early, but I am fit for fight:D I have done well on my exams, so I am quite happy. This is both challenging and fun!

  • That's great to hear Anita, all is fine here. It sounds like you're doing quite well in school, good for you!

  • It is great, Jim !

    TYVM :)

    :P

  • Thanks Miriana. "Syrtaki" is a greek folk song. Frida sing this one quite well.

  • hihihi i know

i was amazed from the fact that she is singing that kind of melody because Greece is far away

    but well done Frida

  • Another great one Jim,Thanks for sharing

    Kind regards Bill

  • I have to be fair to Frida. I'm sure Aggy will understand. Thanks for looking in Bill.

  • I try to do the same and it is always a pleasure to look in!

    Kind regards Bill

  • Thanks for sharing. Another great video from you :-)

As far as I remember this album was a huge success in Sweden.

  • Thank you for watching. Her Swedish version of "Fernando" topped the "Svensktoppen" charts for 10 weeks, and the album became number one and stayed there for 6 weeks. All in all, the album spent 38 weeks on the Swedish charts.

  • Thanks for sharing, first time I heard Frida by herself, she has a really pleasant voice;)cool pics...

  • Thank you for watching. There are a bunch of Frida songs in my video collection. Check them out when you get the chance. She can sing any genre of music.

  • Jim; Thanks ever so much , you know Frida is my Honey-Honey and anything she doe's always interests me this was a rare treat . Thanks Again. G.James

  • Thank you G. This was a good song for Frida and it fits her very well. She could sing anything at anytime. Thanks for watching.

    Peace, Jim~

  • Ji-i-i-i-m-m-m-m...

Loved that "Ensam" album! Good stuff! Loved the pics, as always. So, you're taking off the end of the month, too? Hope the gas prices keep going the way they have been. My Explorer does not get the greatest gas mileage.

  • Sharon!!!

I'm thinking of going to Arizona for a week just to keep from going crazy. This song stuck out the most, so I thought "It's Frida's turn". I really like it!

  • Jim, this is wonderful! I enjoyed your vid from the first pic to the very last! Thank you so much!

    Love,

    Kate

  • Thanks Kate. I appreciate you taking time to enjoy Frida's Greek folk song. It's been a little while since my last Frida video, and this seemed like a good choice of song for her tonite. How have you been? Have you recharged enough from your trip? I hope so, sometimes we all need some time away. I'm next at the end of the month.

    Hugs to you, Jim~

  • Thanks Jim for your concern :) I have recharged but I feel I do need an extra battery, lol, so maybe I'll go to next trip pretty soon ;)

    Love,

    Kate

  • Sometimes I feel like I could use about 100 more batteries...either that or a duplicate me so I could have them do all the hard work.
