Pete! Finally got round to watching this film. What an excellent piece of work. Well thought out and extremely well executed! You're far too modest! Found it completely absorbing and it made me shed a tear. Very well done matey :)
Nicely done..I think the message is quite clear..Love ,choice, lonelyness, grief, autonamy. I n other words ,take the hard road, it is sometimes the only one you have..
thanks for keeping me up to speed with your work. I thought the score was perfect for the film. Loved it. Loved the camera POV on all the sequences.. Cracking script. Loved the daughter and Dad witness scene. That sudden impact of reality about mortality to an innocent, disturbing but really powerful I thought. Thought the dialogue could have been delivered a bit better but to be honest that is a very minor criticism to what is a cracking short film. Genuinely looking forward to future stuff. 5*
You are very talented my friend.......You know how to get a message across in a way where it shard to explain but, it makes you listen even if you tried not to listen its still sinking in. The combination of the ladies voice and the music , perfect combination!
And I agree with the ending... Life goes on... We cannot stop in the middle of the road of our lives and look backwards... Just have the road in front, and continue...
That tree at the beginning it reminds me the Crossroads where Robert Johnson strike a deal... Thank you for sharing . 500 stars, I love your work, excellent.
Dodgy subject matter with a fine ending, just near where I live a 15yr old boy hung himself a couple of days ago so this is video worried me at first but the message is a good one, 5's
WOW - what a great film! As Phillip says: if this vid saves one life it is more worth than any gold in the world..... and I´m sure it will do! Keep up your good fine work and I´m looking forward to see more of your artistic works. 5 million glittering stars and Love from Austria - Sharine
Very Good, sad that people feel that need when death is a Guarantee of life, what can a early end mean to that spirit, what is the cost of OPT..ING out?
and do we pay for that time we should have continued?
Very nice editing and camera work. Curious about the score: Maybe a slower more somber theme would have been more congruent with the suicide scenes. Then possibly mix that uplifting score in about 2:05 where we see hope taking over disparity and finally she resolves that "...life goes on." My apologies for being so forward with my suggestion and no offense to your artistic vision. Just my take on an overall well produced film that was deeply touching and very poignant.
Yes, a slower and more somber theme would have been the usual way to go with a film like this. However I instructed Rolf Meyer to compose something uplifting from start to finish so that the film didn't sound like all the rest. The suicides are more disturbing whilst your tapping your foot too!
Beautiful. As a strange coincidence there was a death in my family just last night of a very close relative, as much as we are all hurting, life does go on. I hope a lot of people watch this and Im sure it will help many people. Hats off to you sir, you have done a great thing making this video. 5* as usual. Well done
Beautiful... A vital and difficult message concerning the dark tunnel of grief. One that you were able to convey in about 3 minutes... I am moved and finding it difficult to form words here. As someone who has lost many loved ones, as have so many others, this film resonates with me at my very core. Thank you, Pete. I will share this with as many people as I can!
