This was recorded in Jugoton in Zagreb, Croatia. Karlov is on the first accordion and Stevo Teodsijev is on the second accordion (source: Petar "Pero" Teodosijev, Stevo's nephew and member of Ansambl Teodosievski).
@premierbendoh i read he died from some kind of liver or kidney infection in 1964, he was only 40 years old. you are probably right. I do know that he as well as Macedonian accordionist Koco Petrovski, pioneered the 5 finger Balkan style of keyboard accordion playing.
Ir sounds like a mixture of Uzicko kolo and then a typically Bulgarian horo. I have a Balkanton LP of Karlov, only Bulgarian music. In this single it says that he made a tournee in Yugoslavia and played with the Teodosievski ensemble, and that is when he recorded this music
The Bulgarian folk music is great!
Bravo!

It is, I think Karlov was educated in Yugoslavia, his playing style is so much like Koco Petrovski's it's scary!
