  • What's Stynax?

  • you mean font-weight: bold;

  • Nice and simple, thx. I usually like silence but I found the sound appropriate!

  • if you need a 100% free xml editor online with free space for uploading your xml documents , so you will be able to acces them from anywhere , please visit on-xml . com

  • Beautiful. XML has the power to change the way we structure our world view. Once we understand the power markup can offer we can use these ideas to power the future. XML is the lingua franca of interchange.

  • How in hell you think someone can learn something with that music? E-learning Fail!

  • thank uuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!

  • The content is all over the place, doesn't actually provide any real information about XML, and several "facts" are incorrect. However, I guess the focus was on the presentation and not on the content?

Knowing HTML syntax is definitely not a prerequisite for learning XML. Knowing something about XML may ensure that you write well-formed HTML code, but even that is not guaranteed.

  • i have to mute the shit sound but thanks

  • @SauberesEuropa ha-ha same here !!

  • I think this is a nice intro to xml, except for completely misunderstanding its purpose. Xml is not just another way to make web pages, that's just a single feature. Xml is a markup language that bears some similarity with html/xhtml, but its purpose is far more complex and general. It's a language (not "commands") designed to carry complex information in a user-readable fashion while still being machine-readable. That's why most of the people don't "get" xml, they make the wrong assuptions.

  • I like the info... what song is that?????? And can you use XML to create database webpages???

  • bloody soundtrack is distracting...came to learn xml but ended up searching for the song album...

  • thanks a 1000X.. finaly i can link my xml and css

  • I know HTML and JavaScript and CSS well but I can't figure out what did you type.

cause I forgot the syntax once the video end.u think with that music it's easy to remember all those things.anyway I learned few things not all.

like CSS with XML , XML to make own tags , how to begin an XML and its extension ,u should cut the bad habit part most of people who know HTML well familiar with that.

  • Ummm so where do you type in the code?

  • rofl a doggy-style file =) nice joke ^^

and nice stuff but this is not really all u need to "know" xml... what is with .xsl and .dtd for example ?

  • Really nice all basics in just only 4:03 min

  • Nice ! Thanx

  • what is xml is it like having a database in a web site ? I learned html and css and java script and the Dr. just . . . well i wasn't baying attention and i didn't understand the xml what dose it do any way :P

  • Hi, XML just moves data around and actually it's kinda of a substitute for a database because you can use XML without a database. It would store your data in text files which you could encrypt. Hope this helps you understand "XML" a little better....

  • thx loads..hope i will do well in test toomorrow

  • good vid, answered some questions for me, but i still don't understand the point of xml.

so you can rename tags and spit out text. what's the point? why not just use html or xhtml? is it more powerful?

  • If you combine it with CSS or XSLT (more advanced), then you can create your own literal codes. If you use XML, you can also use RSS feeds, to resend information to someone after an update. It is very complicated, but XML is used for creating new languages and making your own codes.

  • @18797uat797 XML is used as a go-between for systems that can't normally communicate with each other. The point isn't to make a webpage with them but rather to send and receive responses that systems that can't normally communicate with each other understand.

  • it is very good preview

  • you spelled "syntax" wrong on the first slide of this film.

  • and anything a little later on as "enything"

  • Wow! kelsa888 & Hemsy19 have given the best ever comments I've seen.
