Half life 2 DOES have friendly fire, you just need to get SMOD

Once you have SMOD, open the console by pressing ~

Once console is open type in sv_cheats 1 and impulse 101

You then have a shitload of random weapons, and friendly fire is on.

Oh, those are just the staff credits and character introductions that display when the game starts. I didn't put them there, they're just part of the game. It's probably possible to make your own titles display, I remember I used to do it on my Counter-Strike server.
