The reason he finished last place in the 1988 Olympia was his conditioning just was not quite up to par for that level of contest. If he had stuck with it a few more years, and worked with the right coach, who knew the proper chemistry, Rolf likely could have competed 10-20 pounds heavier, and much more ripped, and placed in the top 10. I don't think we ever saw him at his complete potential as he was only 29 years old in 1988. Tallest ever Mr.Universe, and to step on the Mr.Olympia stage.

@meathead320 Agreed. Some people say he didn't place in the 1988 Mr.O cuz he was not massive enough for his height. Not true. He had plenty of mass. The issue was his conditioning was not showing in his thighs or hamstrings. Either he was not in proper contest shape (looked 1 month out) OR he made a last minute mistake and spilled over. Just another year and he would have been a little bigger and a little more cut, and if he hit his peak properly, he would have done much better.

So etwas nehmen sie nach der "Anabolika-Kur", um die eigene Hormonproduktion wieder anzuregen. Gesund ist dieser ganze Wahnsinn allerdings nicht!

Leider hatte Ralf nicht die ideale Genetik für das Bodybuilding. Er hatte stets Schwierigkeiten, Masse aufzubauen, sonst hätte er bei seiner Körpergröße vermutlich wesentlich besser abgeschnitten. Leider blieben die Erfolge im Profibereich genau aus diesem Grund aus.

Ästethisch ist sein Körper, keine Frage, aber für einen Bodybuilder der 80er/90er fehlte es ihm an Masse, besonders an den Beinen.

I'm a 6' 7" tall meso-endomorph who's about to start training. A friend of mine is a 6'9" tall mesomorph who's trained for years & looks great. The idea that tall meso- or endomoerphs are rare isn't really true. I encounter tall BBs very often, but, they don't have any desire to compete, which may be why some would think that they are rare. That may be true in the sport, but, not so much in life.

Muscle looks different on longer i.e. Taller (ectomorph) bodies.

Most Pro-Body Builders are Mesomoprhs and naturally fall into medium range height with shorter waists, arms & legs.

You can still be tall with a more mesomorph proportion to your overall look but it is less likely.
