Using a OS-FS120-SP , the SuperCharged version of yours, idle RPM on APC 15x8 is 9.400 RPM on the rich side. When the engine was new I got 8.400 RPM and 9.400 is a BIG difference :), 7.5kg
Loops are huge and without significant loss of ooomps, strafing passes on the runway are enough to call in for some beers :)) the sound of the 4-Strokes is
the way to go, the SP gives an extra 2.5 bar pressure to the sound :)
Why do some model airplanes have a four bladed prop, some three bladed, and like this P47, two blades? Didn't the big plane in WWII have four blades? I'm confused I guess because I know next to nothing about model airplanes.
I have a question..I have an os fs120III 4stroke i broke in. Is it normal to have excess white smoke coming out of exhaust when on idle or mid throttle. I set the needles per instructions and tweeked it every which way but still get smoke
You should put on a pitts muffler , if you ever have to belly land or the gear fails you'll break the muffler right out of the Cylinder head. That's what just happened today to my friend's hangar 9 Hellcat. Broke the htreads right off the head of his new saito 125
Sounds plausible... I made somewhat of a custom exhaust which doesn't use any of the original exhaust parts. Just used an adapter bolted straight on the head with a flexible pipe screwed in that leads out of the cowl. That does the trick very nice ;-)

Did it balance out well?? I have a Hangar 9 P-47 .60 as well and I had to add a ton of weight to the nose with a ASP FS .91...

Not North American....Republic. Republic Aviation built the Jug. North American designed and built the P-51.

@hillbillyjoshua you are correct. Indeed It was Republic Aviation. thanks for pointing out the error.
