well i dont use them at all but i do know that in order for them to work as best as possible you need to pack your bass drum with as much pillows or blankets as possible and tighten to head and resonant side as much as you can with out busting it so the trigger can get a better pick up or if you have axis pedals you can buy the trigger that attatches to the pedal for a direct and more accurate strike and the speakers dont really make a difference its the drum machine that connects to the trigger
