From what I can hear in the posted videos, this theme is actually done justice in Sega Racing Classic. Finally- a faithful, powerful-sounding remix to erase the memory of the hideous Saturn version!
(Continue) #35,42 1993 Pagota #41 Hornet High-class since 1992, Gallop racing #46,51 Bird Line #53,55 Pophouse #62,66 Chapter #68,71 Libra Gold Gear #69 Car Ex #73,77 Hunter #78,80 Repo #82,85 Speed King #88 Cool Land #90,99 Ok Bike some maybe wrong, the demo showed some cars I haven't seen in 0:33-0:37, some appear in multiplayer mode (reupdate)
Hi lucisac, I can list all cars brand names, but I don't have logos. #00,1 SG8 Car tool #2,3 Arcr #4,5 1994 R-Pow, Records #6,7 忍者 The Ninja #8,9 Offramp #10,11 G-Rev. Official #12,13 Starmake Formula #14,20,21 Miss, enjoy this tea! #23,28 Extes, Pro Racing #31,32 Built Gum
The only tough drone AI cars were: #20, #46, #53, #55, #62, #16, #13, #12, and #51. Can't write the sponsors 'cause it would take a lot of time listing them all down.
Some cars share the same sponsors on different courses, but it looks like that the MISS corporation is actually a group entity. But I don't think that #20 is the hardest rival in the game, I think it would be #55.
Tell you what... that would make a pretty cool screensaver. That's even in today's million+ polygon realm. And I say this again- these arcade versions of songs sound better than the Saturn/PC versions of Daytona USA songs. I almost wished Sega would have brought the exact arcade tunes to the PC and Saturn (since they are both the same) versions. Nice tribute.
John I couldn't agree with you more! The Model 2 versions of every song sounded better. The Yamaha sound chip created a certain synth magic in these songs that was lost in the Saturn remakes. Many cool effects and backup vocals were MIA or came across lame in the mix. The WAIT COIN theme ( heavily influenced by the original Sportscenter theme!) was terrible in the Saturn version. What's worse is that this version never appeared in the menu of Daytona 2001! I wanted to chuck my DC out the window!
Indeed, the Wait For Your Entry theme (that's the original name, not Wait Coin) was a disaster in the Saturn version, while Start Your Engines was dreadful! As for your Dreamcast, you don't need to chuck it out, just wish for a Daytona original ported into the DC.
I like the one with the drifting, reminds me of Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift, which is on some of the home consoles and arcade =)

I'm agreeing with a lot of the people in here. I think someone needs to upload an MP3 collection of all the tracks from the arcade version.

Does anyone have a list of all the AI cars? I'm interested in things like that, especially because they all are so unique...

Don't forget #4. Hey, he may only hang around in the early position, but he is an ASS to overtake.

Other than that of The King Of Speed, the soundtracks of the Saturn version was dreadful, ghastly, and a catastrophe.

Wait For Your Entry is dreadful, ghastly, bloody, and a planewreck.

@JohnMarineTube You're absolutely right. The attract screen music was pretty much MURDERED on the Saturn and PC versions
