When Russell was drafted I don't remember there being a huge belief that he was going to be on the same level as other elite quarterbacks (i.e. manning, brady, palmer, McNabb, etc). I don't think anybody expected a great quarterback even when he had a few years under his belt, right? Maybe that's why he's not officially known as the Biggest Bust of All Time. Then again, he also hasn't had a public meltdown like Leaf which made people loathe him.
