@lothartheterrible I'll add to the list. Todd Frohwirth, Jeff Innis, Terry Leach, Mark Brandenburg, Mike Myers, Pat Neshek, Cla Meredith, Mark Eichorn, Carl Mays. Maybe not MVP's, but they all made impacts. I remember Frohwirth was impossible his first year in Baltimore. Oh, yeah, Atlanta had Brad Clontz.
@yankeesteelerfan4313 Now that you mentioned a Latin American pitcher, I remember Rolando Arrojo who was not too shabby when he debuted with the Devil Rays.
@snhtown9 He was, haha good memories back in those days. I wouldn't consider Papelbon a sidearmer however, he has significantly increased his arm angle. Kent Tekulve was perhaps the most intimidating, and I always appreciated Bradfords perseverance.
if you miss high and your a submarine pitcher, your in trouble. Down hill is always the way to go to reduce extra base hits, and homeruns. When a submarine pitcher misses high, the ball comes off the bat harder, but if your pitching downhill, gravity takes control and the ball wont be hit as hard. Same concept with turning a double play. You want to feed them with a ball thrown uphill, because if the balls going downhill, gravity's in there hands and they ahve to go down and get it.
i read that once in a while he scraps his knuckles off the ground causing them to bleed. He also wears a pad on his knee to prevent him from scrapping that to.
@futureKazmir one pitcher for the greenville drive(single A red sox) he hits the dirt everytime he throws. he has a dirt stain on his fingers every game
@futureKazmir "Shunsuke Watanabe of the Chiba Lotte Marines is known as "Mr. Submarine" in Japan. Watanabe has an even lower release point than the typical submarine pitcher, dropping his pivot knee so low that it scrapes the ground. He now wears a pad under his uniform to not injure his knee. In addition, his release is so low that his knuckles often become raw from their periodic drag on the ground."

@snhtown9 Yeah, I remember Mark Brandenburg; he went to Tech when I was still in high school out in Lubbock. You can also add the late Steve Olin.
