I get emotional when I remember the very end of John's Hall of Fame speech...when he said that everything was because of all of us Bronco fans. He gave the credit to us......me. He basically talked about....me, as well as all the other fans who stood with him since 83.

John Elway had a great career in the NFL. He accomplished some things while playing that others wouldn't even hope to accomplish in their careers. I was upset when I heard he retired, but now he is in the Hall of Fame. Thanks for the memories John! You were a great player!

Yah I know Montana is the best.But Elway carried the Broncos on his back.Hes more athletic than Joe Montana.Joe was succesful because of the west coast offense.Bill Walsh made joe.Elway made himself & just listen to the head coaches he had.Elway had a weak offensive lineman & none of his receivers made it to the hall of fame-that I know of.I'm not a denver fan but I recognized

Joe won 2 superbowls before Rice showed up, Bill Walsh MADE Joe abut after Bill left Joe won yet another superbowl, and the '9ers defense was still under construction during most of Montana's career. That and Montana was 4-0 in the SuperBowl, compared to Elways' 2-3 (winning his in HIS LAST 2 YEARS).

Go watch SuperBowl 24 and see who was the better Quarterback.

Dumbass. Montana won in 81' with a #2 ranked defense. He won in 84' with possibly the best all around 49ers team of all time.

Super Bowl 24? Watch that game and see who the better TEAM is. Put Montana on the Broncos and put Elway on the 49ers, and see which team would still win.

From a neutral point of view, Elway's accomplishments are more impressive considering the teams he played on. And when he actually had a decent team, he won SB's.

Both are great QB's, but Montana had it made.

Did you not see him throw one of the ugliest picks of the season in the NFC Championship game? MVP's don't play that way. Favre WAS a great quarterback, one of the best, but age will do that to a QB. In big games against the Cowboys and Giants, he played terribly. And as for the MVP thing, the voters just pick the popular people. Brady's near unanimous win didn't help his team win a Super Bowl, so who cares about that.

Ryan Grant's 201 yards did more to get his team to the next round than Favre, and do you not remember all the other playoff games where he has thrown multiple, game-icing picks to kill his team's chances? Need I remind you of the 6-pick game against a decent, but not spectacular Rams D? A smarter, less careless QB is more careful to throw passes where only his WR can catch 'em, especially in OT. He was great in the 90s, but hey, Marino was great in the 80s, that doesn't mean I'd take him in '97
