Why are every damn survival horror game all about monsters or robots? It's just not that scary at all. Sure if you're surprised at some times but really.. okey it's a retarded monster trying to kill you or make you shit in your pants with their screaming or something else. The setting in Amnesia (the game that came after Penumbra) is excellent, but I wish there were only ghosts or some invisible force that haunted you rather then some stupid humanlike monsters.

@Hedmanification That's not supposed to be the point of this game. It's not an FPS game, it's an FP-survival/horror game. Weapons and killing aren't the focus of the game. It's being able to project man's worst fears unto your PC screens. The lack of effective weapons is meant to put the players at a psychological disadvantage. While you may want to open that door that leads to your salvation, you're forced to rethink about it if you only have nothing but a flashlight..with low batteries.
