What you really see here is the ability to convert criticism into something positive. Instead of whinning about her critic, Swift channeled that criticism into 2 Grammy nominations and awards. This is the positive image that we want to see from those whose lives we watch and admire. Swift has set an excellent example for her fans.

@gmartinz01 Exactly. I went to see Britney Spears's Cirsus Tour and felt ripped off. She lipsynched the whole time and there was no band! It was all prerecorded. Someone said there was a band behind the stage but that is not true. If there was a band wouldn't they be on the stage? Taylor does not rip people off. Sure she does not have the best voice live sometimes but she does not lipsynch and The Agency is always on stage with her and are an absolutely incredible band.

I'm one of those people who isn't pouty or whiny about mean people.I just think, "You know what, they're just gonna be here and whining makes it worse." While standing up for yourself is awesome, just remember-that's what they want from you.But staying true to yourself and not letting it get to you is the best way to go.They're just liars and pathetic and mean.

@rhays203: sorry, but it's not live... watch the banjo-guy continue playing while the music stops... ;) and listen to the backings in the last chorus. there's at least four voices - the two girls on stage just cover the lead-vocals. but what about the fills?

@gmartinz01 Exactly. I went to see Britney Spears's Cirsus Tour and felt ripped off. She lipsynched the whole time and there was no band! It was all prerecorded. Someone said there was a band behind the stage but that is not true. If there was a band wouldn't they be on the stage? Taylor does not rip people off. Sure she does not have the best voice live sometimes but she does not lipsynch and The Agency is always on stage with her and are an absolutely incredible band.

this is one of my most favourite songs by her; I loved it ever since I got the album as a late birthday present on Oct. 27th from my dad, and she's just so amazing! :)
this song reminds me of my older sister, who is like everything Taylor describes here (except for the bar and football part).
