@lhampton1116 you can try using an acrylic sealant such as Patricia Nimrock acrylic sealant, or you can use a hairspray such as Got 2 B glued freeze spray
just in case someone needs to know..you can also be allergic to the dye in the caps from bss. i am and i found out that some countries do not control manufacturing chemicals. wrap the cap on your damp arm for 10 mins. if it itches you'll know not to use it on your head.
@niaZomba I love Arjuni hair, but I haven't purchased since around September 2011. You may want to check out their forum at arjuni(dot)com/arjunilounge for more detailed reviews and more information on the company and the hair :)
i have a question i have very thin hair when my hair is straighten out and i was wondering is there a way i can wear extension or clip ins for volume ? W ithout damageing my natural hair ?
@BabyCatz29 You can wear clip ins for volume or try doing a partial sew in. Another option is skin wefts, but these will require some type of adhesive to hold them in place
MissBossy I know you answered this question over and over but you forgot to mention whether this closure your wearing is a silktop or a thin skin closure or whether is just a regular lace closure. Also I would like to inquire about purchasing a closure from you. Pls inbox me when you have a chance.
I can digg it..I mean the supply doesn't seem as if it would meet the demand in the case of "human hair" weaves..You made me subsrcibe with this on. Proud to be a new subbie to some knowledgeable ;)
OMG finally someone who knows about the hair. Just think. how the hell can u go in the store and keep purchasing 20" hair, the same brand, texture, length, etc. EVERY TIME? think of ALLLL the stores on every corner and every city and state. aint that many heads of hair out there to keep these stores fully stocked..plus, hair takes a LONG WHILE to gro 20".. if they can clone animals n stuff, they can make some type of material that can mimic hair..Good video!!
@watkins411 ooooh, lol, yeah, that part is true, well the Cambodian hair part. But they don't use one donor per weft. I believe they blend up to 3-4 donors per weft, but it's a hell of a process so I don't remember how many. I was seeing stars by the end of the day trying to blend one dang weft, lol
Your hair looks beautiful, i was thinking of doing a centre parting just like yours, would you recommend a closure, or would you recommend a invisible parting or even leaving some of the natural hair out.
when you buy hair and its suppose to be "virgin" what are some tips on telling if its virgin or not sorry if you said it in the video but i missed it. Thanks in advance
@rayven4life1 You can wash the hair with a clarifying shampoo & check for color runoff. You can also check the hair to see if all the curls/waves look exactly the same from root to tip. Check for a chemical smell (chemical smell means processed). You can also rub the hair and see if you feel some type of coating. And also, soak the hair with water and see if it holds its pattern without stretching. Virgin hair will elongate and you can even stretch it nearly straight while it is soaking wet.
@xxxLaMillahJanexxx Thank you :) it is a closure. I actually had it custom made by a manufacturer in China. I’m not sure where you could get one already made like this. Maybe try ONYC or Lanik’s Hair
@LivingWithAoki Not a beauty supply brand, but rather a boutique brand. Senghori Shells, ONYC, All About My Hair, as well as a few others are much better quality for around the same price or less
@LivingWithAoki Bobbi Boss hair is ok, but it is overpriced for the quality. You can get much better quality hair, for a comparable price from other vendors
@abenalove For the hair pattern, it will all depend on the look you want. If you want the hair wavy most of the time, then get a wavy pattern. IF you want the hair straight most of the time, then go for straight hair
Hi Miss Bossy, I'm looking to make my first purchase of quality hair, and you were my go to girl :-)
So basically, I want to know out of Indian, Brazilian and Chinese hair, which one is the best option. And when I'm shopping for it, do I want virgin, remy hair, or virgin remy hair? I've been looking online and theres so may titles they go by that I'm just confused and almost wanna give up!!! I'm looking for hair that sheds minimally or not at all, won't tangle or matte, and moves and flows!! lol
@abenalove Out of those 3 origins, Indian and Chinese are the only two that you'll get your hands on. Chinese is the better option, imo. The texture that you want will depend on, well what you want, lol. Do you want a relaxed texture or virgin wavy? Or kinky straight? REgardless, you want the hair to be virgin remy (cuticles aligned and in tact) or process from virgin remy hair (cuticles aligned and in tact) That part about cuticles is extremely important.
wow this was so informative. i've only worn weave once and for a short period of time. I am thinking about doing a sew in and keeping it in for a while. i want to use it as a protective style so i want to be sure to treat my relaxed hair underneath. Do you have any videos or tips on how to treat hair under your weave?
@nats265 I do have a video on this. I believe it’s called something like “my regimen for growing my hair under a BOSSY Wig”. Something like that, lol.
Hi, i have a question, well questions...1. if you a natural how long do you recommend that a sew-in be kept in before it matts together on itself? 2. which brands of hair do you recommend someone who is natural to buy? 3. which are your favorite BBS brands? 4. how do you moisturize your braids underneath your sew-in without the hair extensions getting oily?
@misspap3rdollii 1. this will depend on your individual hair. Some can go for 3-4 months, others can only go 4-6 weeks. I have very fine hair but I can usually go at least a couple of months. 2. For natural hair I prefer kinkier textures. All About My hair, Senghori Shells, Extensions Plus & Real Hair Exclusive are good.
@misspap3rdollii 3. I am not at all familiar with BSS brands. 4. You can moisturize your braids with a water based leave in such as Infusium23, Shescentit Moisture Mist and other similar products that do not contain oils
Hello MissBossy! Would you mind telling what type of closure you have on in this video? I have had a hard time with lace wigs and frontals because my hairline is very low and the hair on my temples come down very low. So what I was thinking of doing was trying a closure that is only 3 to 3.5 across maybe my temple hair wont get in the way. When I tried to glue down my lace wig and frontal the temple part of the hairlines was sitting right in the middlle of my temple baby hair. Disaster! Thanks
@nadinevictoria78 hi :) The closure I am wearing is a custom closure I had made with some Arjuni hair. I would get a custom closure made. You can measure across your hairline from temple to temple. This will tell you how wide you can go with your closure. I would go ¼ - ½” less than the width that you measure.
This was so informative! You answered so many of the questions I've been wondering about for the longest now. I too like to stay informed and be knowledgable on the ins and outs of our hair/ extensions, etc, so thank you sooo much! Keep up the good work!
You know someone should regulate these hair companies who claim to have sell 100% human hair and don't. You brought up some really good points in this video. Thanks for posting it!
@LiyahPearl I totally agree with you, but it would be a tough job to regulate something so complex, and that is manufactured in other countries. It's just like how all these fake shoes and clothing somehow still make it into the US. And hair fibers are not as easily identifiable as clothing brands. But hopefully someday that will change :) and thanks for the support!
@27Kiana awww, thank you! I'm still getting used to the middle part. I've never really liked them on myself, but I'm going to try it again tomorrow just because you said so! lol
@jellybeanbabiiy It really depends on your individual hair, but Indian hair tends to match Afro-American hair the best in terms of strand thickness, but not in terms of texture. Chinese hair tends to match better in terms of texture. A Chinese light yaki or kinky straight would probably work best for good blending
@stdspm14 lol, I sure did forget Egyptian hair! And Croatian hair and heck, might as well throw in some good old Creole hair (they got that nice wavy stuff!) lmao
OMG SO IS REMY BETTER THAN VIRGIN .....LOL I JUST WANT LESS TANGLES

What hair type or origin of extensions blends best with fine natural African American hair when straightened?
jellybeanbabiiy 7 months ago
@jellybeanbabiiy It really depends on your individual hair, but Indian hair tends to match Afro-American hair the best in terms of strand thickness, but not in terms of texture. Chinese hair tends to match better in terms of texture. A Chinese light yaki or kinky straight would probably work best for good blending
