which famous singer is he supposed to be? I believe I always thought he was like a Sam Cooke puppet, lol. But I could be wrong. I mean he does sound kinda like him.
They don't make musical skits like this anymore...they focus too much on using Green screens and technology and now its seems to be more about Elmo. I was always an Elmo fan, but sesame street seems to rely to hard on the Elmo brand.
I remember distinctly when I noticed that a clear switch to "Elmoism" on SS had been made. As soon as Elmo's World came in, giving the character his own feature like that, the whole feeling and direction of the show started to change and SS is now dying.
They're trying too hard to make it cutesy and accessible, and as a result it's becoming more silly, shrill and annoying (in keeping with many other kids shows) and losing a lot of the humour and depth that made original SS great.
If you think kids raising their hand in a classroom is wrong, how do you survive a day without having a heart attack from all the other things that probably annoy the crap out of you?
More than 20 years since I last saw this video on television and I've hardly forgotten any of it. Thanks for posting it, thanks for the memories, thank you forever!
I haven't forgotten this song, even those 16 years later. Love it, except looking back, I wonder why this dude has hippie/Warren Zevon hair and is singing doo wop malt shop music. Although I'm kind of glad that the producers didn't consider that - looks can be deceiving; wouldn't you expect flat tops to be singing this?
You know, someone needs to fund a classic Sesame Street style approach to, say, teaching algebra. What self-respecting high school student wouldn't groan and grin (and learn) at the same time?
I remember watching this when i was like 3. it was like 1988 i think. wow, those were some good times, better days. hahaha, i didn't think stuff like this could be found anymore. That's awesome.

I really like Little Chrissy too but, I wonder why he is wearing a suit in this skit when on other skits by himself or with his Alphabeats on stage, he wears a shirt with a collar. My opinion is that, I think Little Chrissy should always be wearing a suit (like he's wearing on this skit) whenever he is performing on stage by himself or with his Alphabeats.
Jeff Moss, I believe. This tune sounds a lot like a tune I did with barbershop a few years back in school, though I'm not actually sure if it's meant to be a spin off of that song. Come to think of it, I don't even know how old this other song is. It's called "Come and Go With Me". But anyway, good song.
MORE CERF! Do you have "Can't Get No" The Rolling Stones parody? I think that was Jim doing the performance of Chrissy. I heard rumors that Chris did actually perform Muppets, but I'm not quite sure. _Eric ;)

Does anyone know who the voice of Little Chrissy was? And does anyone have the skit where he literally rocked the babies to sleep in the daycare?
"Go, baby, go/Yeah, go to sleep/Go, baby, go/To a rock 'n' roll beat...."
