  • I want this video on my EX212 phone.

  • i'm thinking of getting the MK3, what do you think of them?

  • thanks very very very much m8! this video was one of the most great infromation video i watch ever in youtube! congratulations!

  • I have a 99 Miata, I just bought this month.

It's a great car, I would definitley recommend it.

  • so want 1

  • Indeed the rusty boot is a rare thing, I drive the same one 1.8 140hps.

And I love to drive it, it's the best low-budget driftingcar.

  • It is strange because the it's happened to my 99 car, perfect on the outside, rusty on the inside and its worse than this guys car, no holes though. Looks a mess but nothing to worry me about at the moment.

  • that rusty boot is rare to happen in a mx5

  • Surely the purist would recomend the 1.6, being that its the better balanced option for the corners.

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • A crackin vid m8, ive a mk1 and i luv it :)

chek my video out and yes my mates call mine a pram

  • Great video. Thx!

concerning "two hands on the steering wheel": Please anyone show me how to shift gears manually with both hands on the wheel... :-D

  • great informative vid thx for upload :)

  • Did he say 140 HP? Kind of weak for any car, but as he said "That's not really the point...". I do know somebody around here in Florida that has upgraded his Miata to push around 300 HP and it can compete with my bro's Subaru WRX if he is in maybe... 3rd Gear?

  • Still haven't fathomed why gay should be seen as an insult anyway.

So -loving my 5. Had her for 6 weeks and haven't stopped smiling since :D

  • I don't care if people call me gay for having a 1999 Mazda miata, cause on a road track I'll just laugh at them as they are in my rear view mirror!! Americans are so stupid in that manner too, you don't need a huge engine in a 2200 lb car. It has also been ranked one of the best drift cars next to the AE86, and take it from me it drifts like a champ!!

  • You really need to quit with the stereotyping... ok?

I'm from Florida, which happens to be in America, and I respect this car. Sure I love american muscle cars but we don't all hate foreign cars so just chill. Some people just don't accept differences. My bro has a Subaru WRX and I love to drive it! So please don't make comments about Americans in general please limit your criticism to people you actually know.

  • I love my 1999. I got the same color also. I agree with everything he said about it.

  • mazdeerr

  • Those seats are from the facelifted model....where are the original ones..?

  • Your supposed to drop the windows a bit before dropping the hood. You might be lucky and get away with it but if this is done time and time again you'll feck your seals.

  • Thank you very much for this detailed and very informative review. I've been thinking about buying one of these beautiful convertibles in the near future and this video has made me want one even more now!

  • Really well done. You've pretty much nailed everything worth mention. Two quick thoughts:

    - I've found it's easier to just yank the visors out of their holders and live without. They're pretty well useless, get in the way of the top, and make a small windscreen seem even smaller.

    - The cover for the top isn't as bad as people think. I do the snaps first and pull the clip parts over second. Takes me less than a minute, looks better, and saves the top's sensitive underparts from UV damage.

  • I love my MX-5, but mine isn't as comfy as the one in the vid (tein coilovers), I sometimes miss that part, but hey, getting rid of body roll isn't that bad either.

  • could be worse, you could have gone for a full suspension upgrade and a practically cusionless bucket seat and a racing harness like I did in mine. Its all fun and games at the track with that, but I nearly pulverized my tail bone when I drove it to Grand Junction, Co from NW Arkansas for the FM open house a few years ago (of course that hasn't stopped me from driving it back to Colorado two more times, lol).

  • very well put together...

  • just the 1337 video....

  • I like it when cars is silver in colour.... donno why just love this colour....^_^

  • pure pwnage

  • That was a good review.

  • Yeah! And all pilots that use both hands are gay! XD

  • Go to any track or autocross school and one of the first things they teach you is KEEP BOTH HANDS ON THE FREAKING STEERING WHEEL! You WILL driver faster, more accurately, and safer with both hands on the wheel. Try driving at a track with one hand...you WILL get laughed at by the fast drivers. ;)

  • I dont doupt the importance of keeping both hands on the steering wheel, but come on, its not that serious, and get laughed at? Settle down mr schumacher

  • Very good review I must say!

  • ehe i want a RHD mx5 it would be weird to drive though. all the more fun

  • this car is so nice.. not so many in the area where I live people are not so tasteful

  • noice one m8

  • Who cares ? He presents cars for his living. So he's good in driving..

  • Dude, you should drive with TWO hands on the steering wheel.

  • How? he's driving a stick...

  • hes driving standard. did ya notice? kinda hard to sshift with 2 hands
