it went into full swing here,i hate diesels,i want the steam engine back that i missed for being born to late,is it true that in place in the united kingdom their still a good number of steam engine running around?
@crazyracer12 - there is indeed only one B12 left. Numbered 61572. Look it up. I don't give out "false history". Check your facts before accusing me, please.
@crazyracer12 the last B12 is 61572 (LNER No. 8572) and is based at the railway where I volunteer - the North Norfolk Railway which runs from Sheringham - Weybourne - Holt. It is a lovely locomotive, my favourite one, it's beautiful! It should be returning from a major overhaul this year.
Brilliant, a fantastic series. Not sure when, as an adult, the last time I felt attatched to a character in a TV (Or you tube) show, but I really love the characters here, you have made a brilliant series. Especially like the character of Stephen the B12
... Whoa... Was not expecting Stephen to lose his cool like that. Dark days are indeed coming to Copley Hill if even Stephen is rattled...
I was also shocked about how he handled the situation with Gronk. I'll miss the poor little shunter... And while we're on the subject, I don't like all the comparisons being made to "Dirty Work" by some viewers here, but I'll digress... for now.
Another fine addition to the series, if not the finest. I eagerly anticipate the next (last?) chapter! :)
Is this taken to be a depiction of the DELTIC's withdrawal? If so it would be sort of strange to think of DELTIC at Locomotion being "dead" as it were.
Episode 15 set a new high mark for stories sch as these and I'm really excited to see how things unfold from here.
I will say though that the static character shots used for some of the dialog stand out in an unwanted way, the live film footage looks much better.
Cool. I would like to see how his character has developed or perhaps changed for the better or worse. How the other characters will deal/not deal with the challenges to come.
To think there we were once designs to bring Deltics over here to North America.
On a note thoughblurbs in the background are rather uhnot subtle. An NRM blurb while the locomotives are concerned over scrapping? I find it kind of wellgrizzly. Kind of like rubbing it in the faces of those not to make it. Although I understand its just a blurb.
The NRM thing was totally not my intention - come to think of it, it was rather heartless...
However it was intended to be a "thank you" to the NRM and hopefully will get a few people visiting their channel more. A friend is a friend. Did anyone notice my "Mad Bomber" poster for Leokimvideo? ;)
Well it did work. I did not know there was a NRM channel and have now subscribed :) I went there last year and it was amazing. Going again in July, can,t wait :)
Beautiful. This really takes your series and gives it a very darker undertone. The atmosphere, plot, and effects really add up in this. From the wind blowing snow during Gronks Trail to the shadows made by the lamps. This is truly a work of art.
THe Modernization Plan really got to them didn't it? I don't just mean that they know it's happening, but also that it hit them emotionally.
Furthermore, what happened from 5:48 and going further just goes to show you............You can't stop the inevitable. You may not be able to accept that it's happening, but it's going to happen anyway.
i noticed that stephan mentioned about the list of presevered locomotives and the fact that flying scotsman was not on that list, flying scotsman was purchesed by alan pegler in 1963.
i could be wrong but also the list was announced in 1962 and the list did not include the gresley A3, i had just read it up in a magazine this morning
Correct - bought by pegler to avoid the scrap man. It was only bought by the NRM in the last ten years, when its rightful home should have been the NRM all along.
The most epic ending ever, never really felt this way but it scared me, no it frightened me. Poor Stephen has seen the grim reaper at work with his class of engines. I cannot imagine how I'd feel if i was the last of my kind. I salute you Simierski for taking on the tedious task of making a series that many people could have said was a TTTE copy and making it something better than the rev Awdry could ever hope for. Poor Gronk though, you know it's like dirty work but the sides are flipped.
Leokimvideo's Rolling Stock, SkarloeyFan's channel, the Permanent Way model forum and finally the NRM (National Railway Museum)'s channel badge with a slogan.
Well done, is a slight understatement. The very end was done superbly. It was not quite a happy ending yet it gives a viewer satisfaction in seeing deltic towed away.
All I can really say is Wow! To say this is epic would be an understatement. Poor Gronk really got the short end of the stick didn't he. Stephen's speech at the sheds to the other engines has to be the most dramatic part of this series so far.
One thing for sure, I like the Stephen model with the steam effect. I do believe you are planning to install this steam effect into the other engines?
Thats correct, unfortunately for this part neither Allen's nor Sir Ralph's smoke units would function on DCC for various reasons (a certain modeller wiring them up incorrectly doesn't help!), so it was up to Stephen to make the steam!
I see. Well, still wouldn't matter since they didn't really move that much in this episode.
OK, this may be kind of stupid of me asking this, but for Deltic's red and blue headlights. Are those real working lights on the engine, or where they made with some sort of editing program?
I been curios about those headlights ever since Deltic appeared.
it went into full swing here,i hate diesels,i want the steam engine back that i missed for being born to late,is it true that in place in the united kingdom their still a good number of steam engine running around?

But then, if you like the little blue tank engine, there are hundreds of his videos on youtube.
