  • it went into full swing here,i hate diesels,i want the steam engine back that i missed for being born to late,is it true that in place in the united kingdom their still a good number of steam engine running around?

  • Poor Gronk... it's such a shame he had to leave Copley Hill. :'(

  • gordon brother the fiy ing scotsman scraped!?!?

  • TTOOBBYY

  • it is sad because allen will be scrapped because no a1's were saved and he can't be torando because he was finished in 2008

  • What is the song that plays when Steven gives his speech (Around 6:22)

  • there CANNOT be one B12 left in the world, I know it, how many on google? few but different numbers and liveries! There is some false history here!

  • @crazyracer12 - there is indeed only one B12 left. Numbered 61572. Look it up. I don't give out "false history". Check your facts before accusing me, please.

  • @simierski I thought there was at least two B12's! D: sorry (I thought more caus of so many Hornby ones)

  • @simierski Yes, that's right Simon. I'm sure glad Stephen's not going to be scrapped/

  • @crazyracer12 the last B12 is 61572 (LNER No. 8572) and is based at the railway where I volunteer - the North Norfolk Railway which runs from Sheringham - Weybourne - Holt. It is a lovely locomotive, my favourite one, it's beautiful! It should be returning from a major overhaul this year.

  • @sladedood My bad. D:

  • @crazyracer12 Haha no worries, I was just saying where it is (:

  • Allen really stood up for poor old Gronk. That's why he's one of my favorites.

  • can somebody remind me what overhall is agan i forget

  • overhaul is when something is completely made like new again :3

  • I cant beleve that deltic's friends are also being scrapped and he doesnt even know about it. what a waste of the deltics.

  • Very enjoyable to watch, I like the sound effects you use & music.

    Keep it up matey!

  • Bloody hell, thats pretty moviing stuff.

  • Stephen's speech at the end was epic, one of the best speeches I've ever heard. (Is Gronk going to return to the series?)

  • Yep, Gronk will return soon.

  • If Stephen said he was the last of his kind, and there is one B12 left in the world, does that mean he survives?

  • Logic dictates...

  • Did you know there is a B12 at the NNR?

It's currently under major overhaul, but nevertheless, a B12

  • i think stephen means ''It's the end of British Main Line Steam.''

  • whats the name of the music playing at the begining. i like it.

  • It appears to be an instrumental version of 'Rule Britannia', by a composer unknown to me. If you want to know, I'd contact 'Simierski' himself.

  • no the dramatic one when deltic is moved off the mane line

  • My whole family enjoys these videos, keep them coming.

  • Stephen is like a future-looker guy. it's so cool!

  • how long till the next one?

  • this is one of your best episodes yet

  • The best episode yet, the leokimvideo mab bomber poster was pretty funny.

  • moving episode, by far one of the best in the series so far.

does this mean that stephen is the only preserved B12? and beautiful steam effects for him. Live steam?

  • Seuthe 21 smoke generator

  • This one is brillant when is the next one coming

  • wow the end was very impacing excellent

  • A very good ending to a fantastic episode

  • Brilliant, a fantastic series. Not sure when, as an adult, the last time I felt attatched to a character in a TV (Or you tube) show, but I really love the characters here, you have made a brilliant series. Especially like the character of Stephen the B12

  • ... Whoa... Was not expecting Stephen to lose his cool like that. Dark days are indeed coming to Copley Hill if even Stephen is rattled...

I was also shocked about how he handled the situation with Gronk. I'll miss the poor little shunter... And while we're on the subject, I don't like all the comparisons being made to "Dirty Work" by some viewers here, but I'll digress... for now.

Another fine addition to the series, if not the finest. I eagerly anticipate the next (last?) chapter! :)

  • Is this taken to be a depiction of the DELTIC's withdrawal? If so it would be sort of strange to think of DELTIC at Locomotion being "dead" as it were.

Episode 15 set a new high mark for stories sch as these and I'm really excited to see how things unfold from here.

I will say though that the static character shots used for some of the dialog stand out in an unwanted way, the live film footage looks much better.

  • Don't think of the Deltic as being "dead" - merely sleeping...

He will return, just not in this series.

  • Cool. I would like to see how his character has developed or perhaps changed for the better or worse. How the other characters will deal/not deal with the challenges to come.

To think there we were once designs to bring Deltics over here to North America.

  • Absulutly wonderful. I am as exsited as a child when I know there is a new episode on the way and wes not disapointed.

Nice thought prevoking twist at the end. Shame they sent Gronk away, hope he returns.

Have you considerd putting the series on DVD?

  • wow, amazing. This is one of the best episodes yet, its really given the plot a twist.

  • There's a subtle difference between telling a story about trains, and making a direct historical comparison using trains.

But then, if you like the little blue tank engine, there are hundreds of his videos on youtube.

  • But if thats my only complain, then this is a well-put together peace. I give you a well earned salute from across the pond!

PS: sorry about the triple post.

  • On a note thoughblurbs in the background are rather uhnot subtle. An NRM blurb while the locomotives are concerned over scrapping? I find it kind of wellgrizzly. Kind of like rubbing it in the faces of those not to make it. Although I understand its just a blurb.

  • The NRM thing was totally not my intention - come to think of it, it was rather heartless...

However it was intended to be a "thank you" to the NRM and hopefully will get a few people visiting their channel more. A friend is a friend. Did anyone notice my "Mad Bomber" poster for Leokimvideo? ;)

  • ...no, I didn't see the leokim one, I saw the PW website burb though.

  • Well it did work. I did not know there was a NRM channel and have now subscribed :) I went there last year and it was amazing. Going again in July, can,t wait :)

Ps; I did notice the Mad Bomber poster.

  • Beautiful. This really takes your series and gives it a very darker undertone. The atmosphere, plot, and effects really add up in this. From the wind blowing snow during Gronks Trail to the shadows made by the lamps. This is truly a work of art.

  • no, it's alot darker than TTTE, not that it automatically makes it better based on that, but it is a HUGE difference

  • Um, at 4:32 it looks like Stepen's face is melting... o.o

  • Excellent vid!!! I like wot u did!!!

  • DAMN! A Great Finale to this EPIC episode... and Stephen blowing his top (figuratively and literally) at the engines was really moving!

    Cheers!

    Trainmaster844

  • CARBON MONOXIDE! (that was a term of gasp)

THe Modernization Plan really got to them didn't it? I don't just mean that they know it's happening, but also that it hit them emotionally.

Furthermore, what happened from 5:48 and going further just goes to show you............You can't stop the inevitable. You may not be able to accept that it's happening, but it's going to happen anyway.

  • Very nice simierski! Very accurate and realistic too! Your like another RWS writer.

  • poor old gronk!

you're not seriously going to get rid of him are you?

  • poor old gronk!

  • In a word - no. But that's another story...

  • This is a brilliant final part :D

5* You can't help but feel sorry for Deltic. And poor Gronk, a bit of an over-reaction I think....

  • i noticed that stephan mentioned about the list of presevered locomotives and the fact that flying scotsman was not on that list, flying scotsman was purchesed by alan pegler in 1963.

  • i could be wrong but also the list was announced in 1962 and the list did not include the gresley A3, i had just read it up in a magazine this morning

  • Correct - bought by pegler to avoid the scrap man. It was only bought by the NRM in the last ten years, when its rightful home should have been the NRM all along.

  • Send chills up and down my spine at the end really dark and really moving

  • *snif* poor gronk

  • Awesome Episode,One of your best :D

  • Cool! Nicely Done!

  • i'll miss gronk

  • I've got to say, simierski. THIS IS THE DARKEST EPISODE I HAVE EVER SEEN YOU MAKE. It was awesome as always, but very dark. I actually feel bad.

  • beautiful just beautiful from the usa this is what i like to call a proper job cant wait for the next episode

  • Oh my god. This is geating intersting every episode. O_O =)

  • jeffrey donot like grock

  • Wow. I'm just...shocked

  • :,,(.....why....

  • stephes speech was true adn very moving

  • woah

  • this story has to be one of your best before ep 14 which was one of my favorites.

  • wow, that was impressive

  • The most epic ending ever, never really felt this way but it scared me, no it frightened me. Poor Stephen has seen the grim reaper at work with his class of engines. I cannot imagine how I'd feel if i was the last of my kind. I salute you Simierski for taking on the tedious task of making a series that many people could have said was a TTTE copy and making it something better than the rev Awdry could ever hope for. Poor Gronk though, you know it's like dirty work but the sides are flipped.

  • but then again, there is 1 B12 left, on the North Norfork Railway

  • That's probably what will happen to Stephen in the end of the series. Right?

  • maybe

  • that engine is Stephen then i guess. Every engine is based on an actual one.

  • Comment removed

  • Absoloutly Brilliant!

  • I can't believe BR didn't want to save the Soctsman... those idiots

  • woa what a fantastic ending with such great detail and what tension can't wait for the next episode or what ever is produced next

  • wow that stephen said was shocking and deep

  • what r those posters on the carriage shed????

and also would we see Deltic again???

  • They are: (from left to right)

Leokimvideo's Rolling Stock, SkarloeyFan's channel, the Permanent Way model forum and finally the NRM (National Railway Museum)'s channel badge with a slogan.

  • Well done, is a slight understatement. The very end was done superbly. It was not quite a happy ending yet it gives a viewer satisfaction in seeing deltic towed away.

  • Don't worry, he'll come back (pauses for a moment) Will he?

  • All I can really say is Wow! To say this is epic would be an understatement. Poor Gronk really got the short end of the stick didn't he. Stephen's speech at the sheds to the other engines has to be the most dramatic part of this series so far.

  • After seeing this part.....I'm just speechless.

One thing for sure, I like the Stephen model with the steam effect. I do believe you are planning to install this steam effect into the other engines?

  • Thats correct, unfortunately for this part neither Allen's nor Sir Ralph's smoke units would function on DCC for various reasons (a certain modeller wiring them up incorrectly doesn't help!), so it was up to Stephen to make the steam!

  • I see. Well, still wouldn't matter since they didn't really move that much in this episode.

OK, this may be kind of stupid of me asking this, but for Deltic's red and blue headlights. Are those real working lights on the engine, or where they made with some sort of editing program?

I been curios about those headlights ever since Deltic appeared.

  • What a suspending ending (unintentional Rhyme, there!). I'm certainly looking forward to the next episode.

  • Sweet! Poor Gronk. Yay part 3! Can't wait for part 4!

  • Um - the end credits were at the end of the video. No part four - but a director's cut is coming very quickly within the month!

  • oh, sorry. A directors cut? sweet. I'm guessing it has more than the actual episode right? So but can't wait for episode 16 then!

  • Absolutely - around two minutes extra footage and an extra scene after the end credits...

  • oohh! Can't wait!

  • Absolutely EPIC!

    WELL DONE!

    Shame about Gronk though...

  • Dirty Work retold

  • Nope. Try watching the whole story and think of it in historical terms.

  • I was talking about the way Gronk was sent away
