@omarlives You are using the same logic as many people with anger issues. When people do things that make them tick, they go ahead and retaliate. They say its not their fault since the other person did something to make them angry. If someone came up to me and started yelling shit at my face and I swung a punch at them in response, is it the other person's fault? No, it is both of ours, he/she shouldn't have provoked me and I shouldn't have reacted that way. One side must be the better person.

@omarlives Getting upset doesn't matter, its how you respond to the other person. For example, Kruschev, the leader of the USSR said he wanted to bury the US in nuclear missiles. He set up missiles in Cuba and aimed them at the US. How did the US respond? If they reacted and pointed their own missiles at the USSR, it could have started a nuclear war. It would have been both of their faults because the USSR started and the US pushed it to the breaking point. Luckily, that wasn't the case.
@omarlives It's not you getting upset that matters, its how you respond to the other person. The US didn't aim missiles back, instead they negotiated with Kruschev they agreed to remove the missiles. The US was the better person and avoided the conflict. Now if Kruschev still launched the missiles, then it would be completely his fault and it would be fine to fight back.

For many interviewers on TV, if the interviewer personally disagrees with the person he is interviewing, he would try and argue with him. But Russert doesn't ever do that, he stays objective and simply receives the response and lets the person being interviewed speak for himself. Same if he does agree with them. He doesn't add commentary, which would add bias.

@42underscore Is it really worth our guys and hurting ourselves though? Yea its nice what South Korea has today but people just dont realize how much war costs. We were in debt in the 50's so it came from more borrowing and inflating the dollar. Today our dollar is 97% down from when the Federal Reserve took over. And bc of our foreign policy people dependend on this welfare state are in for a very rude awakening.

@omarlives You are using the same logic as many people with anger issues. When people do things that make them tick, they go ahead and retaliate. They say its not their fault since the other person did something to make them angry. If someone came up to me and started yelling shit at my face and I swung a punch at them in response, is it the other person's fault? No, it is both of ours, he/she shouldn't have provoked me and I shouldn't have reacted that way. One side must be the better person.

@omarlives What I am saying is that it really is both people's fault. As you said it takes two to tango and if someone starts it, but the other person stoops down to their level and retaliates, it is just as much his fault in fueling the confrontation as the person who started it. BTW, we all have issues that we deal with. I personally have trouble focusing on things. Though you show a great level of maturity by realizing you have anger and passion issues. Kudos to you.

@omarlives Getting upset doesn't matter, its how you respond to the other person. For example, Kruschev, the leader of the USSR said he wanted to bury the US in nuclear missiles. He set up missiles in Cuba and aimed them at the US. How did the US respond? If they reacted and pointed their own missiles at the USSR, it could have started a nuclear war. It would have been both of their faults because the USSR started and the US pushed it to the breaking point. Luckily, that wasn't the case.

@omarlives It's not you getting upset that matters, its how you respond to the other person. The US didn't aim missiles back, instead they negotiated with Kruschev they agreed to remove the missiles. The US was the better person and avoided the conflict. Now if Kruschev still launched the missiles, then it would be completely his fault and it would be fine to fight back.

All countries first build and army to keep their citizens at bay and to protect themselves from being ousted for from coup d'etats. This is contagious. Other countries then follow and do the same but also at the same time build an army to match and beat other countries. If the USSR aimed 1 missile at us, the US would aim 10 back at them. @omarlives I will have to disagree with you on one part of your argument. Russert actually was one of the best interviewers there were. For many interviewers on TV, if the interviewer personally disagrees with the person he is interviewing, he would try and argue with him. But Russert doesn't ever do that, he stays objective and simply receives the response and lets the person being interviewed speak for himself. Same if he does agree with them. He doesn't add commentary, which would add bias.

Ron Paul doesn't remember history. The reason we were in Lebanon was because Lebanon was a christian nation being attacked by Muslims. Most people hate to hear the truth and that is why libertarians do not get any respect. The truth is that we live in an artificial economy that is propped up by debt. If the government actually taxed this country for every dollar it spends the tax rate would probably be over 100%. Somethings gotta give eventually and we are already seeing signs. Why is Ron Paul's foreign policy so difficult for people to understand? We hit you and so they hit us. It's okay, in fact good, for the United States to evaluate what we're doing. Nobody wants to step back and look at our policies for what they really are, intrusive and evasive. We need more people in the US to understand that maybe our government is also at fault and not just the victims here. Everyone is not the enemy. In the Middle East, we are the enemy, and that's not a terrorist thought.

In 2007 no one had even heard of Obama. In theory Ron Paul can attract similar amounts of attention using the Internet. He just needs to campaign smart, have the right people and start now. His chances will also have a tremendous amount to do with how Obama's term goes.I support Ron Paul but I do sincerely hope that Obama's supporters don't find themselves disappointed, and that the next 4 years are better than the last 8.
