France remained defensive during WWII, looked what happend to them. You can never stay defensive. War advances technology.

But to this day we still have suffering because of it. But there are even more people in both countries who love each other, and I prefer to focus my energies on people like that. I am proud to be Canadian simply because I am Canadian. I am NOT following the footsteps of so many Canadians whose pride for our country is derived out of bashing the United States. We are better than that as a country. Americans don't derive their pride for their country out of bashing Canada so why should we? I have many American friends whom I love and respect dearly, and we both learn a lot from each other. I urge all Canadians to love this country based on its own impressive merits.

When Lee Greenwood says "from Detroit we can see her ABOVE the USA", he is infact WRONG. Windsor Ontario is directly across from Detroit Mi and we are so far South that Detroit is NORTH of Windsor, so he should have said "from Detroit we can see her BELOW the USA" LOL, this is a GREAT song, it makes me proud to live in CANADA the best country in the WORLD.
